Hi! I just did this boss and while it's very cool and honestly really strong I managed to tank it down in about 8 or 9 black blade scrolls (that I probably should have just cast but was out of them because I was playing with the other spawns) and I think that the monster could use something like 25% or 50% damage immunity to physical attacks to make it beefier. Now if it does already have that I wouldn't be surprised but I wasn't seeing it in my combat log and it looked like my blade was doing full damage.

Since this thing is meant to be fought my entire groups making it harder to kill would give it a much better experience and prevent jerks like me from making it seem arbitrary. It's a pretty cool boss fight with an interesting gimmick on top of that.

DC taxation is theft!

It has immunities and flat DR. I can't balance around 9 BBoD scrolls that summon a near invincible 2 handing WM on demand. It's not possible.

The BBoD has (or on Amia, had) its own thing, the on hit planar rift property, which is a 10+CL (7 in the default case, so 17) fort save vs death magic.
