I believe +4 is the most we allow for individual saves. So you can probably get something else with it anyway.

Here it goes. My main toon, Jerand is a paladin. I knew he could cast the pnp spell of Detect Evil. I have used it occasionally, mainly in DM plots where the DM adjudicates what is evil and what is not.
But I was recently told by a DM that a paladin can also cast the pnp spells of Create Water and Bless Water. I have been on Amia for years and didn't have the faintest idea this was possible.
So my question is what are all the pnp spells a paladin can possibly cast? I looked and searched all the topics but I could not find a list.
Any help in this regard is greatly appreciated.
Perhaps we could put together a list of all the possible pnp spells for all classes. Erm, if there isn't one already. I know I could not find it.
Sincerely,
Baden

One of the most significant PnP spells a paladin can cast is Zone of Truth. That's worth knowing.

In case anyone cares about Assassins, BGs, and a few of the other more niche classes: Check the class "articles" as well! BGs and Assassins get spells too, but they get discriminated against!

I can not find the post, but I believe there is one about not being able to hide wings under a cloak. I was doing some research on Sword Archons and it mention's them wearing a large cloak to disguise themselves. https://forgottenrealms.fandom.com/wiki/Sword_archonThese archons were often observed wearing metal collars about their necks, greaves about their legs, and breastplates over their chests. As with other archons, these ornaments were not actual metal; they were mystical representations of the archon's rank within the hierarchy of Celestia and could not be removed.[2][7] They sometimes dressed in simple, patterned cloth garments. On the rare occasion that one might not want to be noticed, it would wear a large cloak.[3] Is not being able to hide wings still a thing on Amia? And my second question would be, can you Rp being a descendant of a Sword Archon with a Special Toon Request?

It's in the Rules forum. And an aasimar can be descended from a sword archon without a request. If you're talking about a half-celestial or anything more than a typical aasimar, then you will need a request.

Ah okay, I think I remembered it being Sticky in the past. Take it even with what I found the rule will stay. Just thought it might be something to review in light of what I came across. There saying some Sword Archon's got up to 8ft tall and 550 lbs. LOL That must be one freaking gigantic cloak! A bloody ships sail!
For an Aasimar, can you make a request for wings before Toon creation? What about the flight widget as well?

It has been done before and is possible if it is appropriate! But it's generally expected to be a somewhat exceptional case, given that all other aasimar have to work to get those features and to learn to fly. Just so you know that it'll take good reasoning and won't be just a single paragraph story type of thing.

How long of a sea voyage is it to Neverwinter from an Amia Island Eastern Port?

As fast or as slow as the plot requires it to be. On a more serious note, I actually don't know. But I can tell you that 3E FR had loads of specific info for specific sea vessels, one of those bits of info being their speeds. Ships and Sailing. The next part of the equation is Amia's distance from the Sword Coast and Neverwinter. This kind of varies depending on what version of our Map you're looking at. Lastly, you have to look at other variables, like is this vessel being chartered for a direct journey, is Amia just a stop along the way, headwinds, tailwinds, etc. You can really go down the rabbit hole on it. For all of those reasons, I don't recall a hard number ever being said. I at least can't find one from a forum search. So from a passing knowledge that medieval-era ships(things like caravels) could travel up to like 100 miles in a single day, and that Amia is at least several hundred miles from Neverwinter(just ball-parking from vanilla 3E locales like the Moonshaes), I'm gonna say... A tenday or two, in a straight shot? That is, 10-20 days. In a world where you can travel those distances by waving a wand in your pocket, I think you're allowed a bit of leeway here. But for the purpose of roleplay, I can understand why the info could be important. Addendum: Cool map I found while trying to figure this one out. It's unfortunately 4E/5E judging by the info that pops up from the settlements, but the locations themselves should still be in the same general areas.

Technically speaking, around two weeks, give or take x days for weather/conditions. But basically everything is run on a speed-of-plot basis on Amia. Generally speaking, we're 1:1, but DMs won't make you not play your character for a month if you RP getting on a boat to go to Calimshan, for example.

Reminds me, another reason it's hard to put numbers on that is that fact with have in-game boats that take relatively no time. You can get to Frozenfar in the module, which is at least as far if not further than Neverwinter, in a few dialogue prompts. You could hear about the Djinn appearing there on Amia, take a boat, and still be like second in line when you showed up. You can definitely roleplay it taking more time, but it's one of those things that speed-of-plot makes more sense for lest we force people to spend whole resets getting to places.
Though, I'd be totally down for that, let's all be pirates, guys.

No, it was ended as it tended to promote all-star mentality and favouritism.

It was always done by a player anyway, not an official team thing. Sure it did what Tomcat said to some degree, but so does the "rp praise thread" and several others.. it was merely a fun thing to do. I don't have the time nor inclination to take it on, but... that doesn't mean someone can't.

There was a huge discussion years ago when it was ended. And people just felt that it was better to just drop it. I dunno why it is suddenly brought up yet again, we have managed pretty alright without it.

With our small playerbase, I figured it would be fun to do, hence why I asked. I wasn't sure when/why it was discontinued.
I don't really think we have a clique/favoritism problem with so few us, most of us tend to get along on an OOC level.
But I get what Tom is saying, so.

At its best, it was still basically a clique/favoritism contest, thats how these things work really in the end.
Perhaps it would be unofficial and shouldn't be taken too seriously, but even when you officially say it is just for fun, people will still use it to mold their sense of the server and its people.
We already have roleplay and dm praise threads too, and they are better because they allow you to give all sorts of praise about people, be it a specific event just recently or how you feel their character has developed/roleplayed over a longer period of time. Or a staff member's entertaining event or helpfulness.
Without anyone being put on a bigger pedestal compared to others.

Even though I was never nominated for anything I still voted. Even after my Idea of Merchant of the year Award was shot down, I still voted. I always thought it was cool. I enjoyed seeing who won. I know it's kinda high school year book award, who's hot who's not cliquish list. But I like to know what my peers think. It's like the Emmy's, just no Oscars...well maybe DC's could be considered that. I would love to see it make a come back. Honestly, if you don't like them, don't click on the post and just ignore it.

Well if anything I've learned that T0mc4t89 = Tomcat89.
But yeah, I think we're in a good place in the community. We don't really need to showboat people's RP like this, at the very least in this way.

Not sure it's exactly fair to bring up bans way past their duration, to be honest. All it does is bring up dirty laundry.
There's a reason bans aren't usually discussed. This isn't one exact case, but it doesn't seem too fair to do anyways.

Unless something has changed, that's worked with every Bag of Holding and container from the Wharftown merchant.

I'm fairly certain that Crow and Audrey were the last ones in there, with the keyholder, many years ago. I 'am' certain that the one relatively easy access point no longer exists, it was recently destroyed with the fall of Cordor, the other access point needs the proper key, or a DM.

Hey! Great work with the DC listing!
Have a question regarding boots as I did not see following option that I had considered to request:
+5 AC +3 Ability +1 Universal
Price: 16 DC
Got the idea from another request which was this year, hence asking clarification.
Also, would be nice to know a bit what is difference between 3 regen and say 3 uni saves power-wise.

I'd really rather not open General Questions to even more item balance questions. You have no idea how much time we spend on such things and it's silly to do it in a place that's not in a request. It's just wasted time to go digging for an answer to give you on speculation.
As for the difference between the two power-wise, it depends on the other stats with them. DC item balance isn't worked on "this stat = this many powers" like the mythal system. It's based on overall power with all stats.

Right, just thought this would be best place to post the question rather than in the post itself or opening one in a request thread. Seems the only way to know is to make a request and see how it gets answers.

So, the Far Realm. Ever since I started playing again the place is popping up in RP somewhat frequently and somewhat openly, so I would like to ask how much my characters are supposed to even know about it.
What would the team say is considered "easily obtainable" knowledge on the Far Realms (in Amian terms)?
I currently play 2 characters, a dwarf who couldn't care less and will only parrot whatever he learns IC, and a druid. It's my understanding that druids are (generally) concerned with Aberrations and Outsiders almost as much as Undead, enough that I think it justifies RPing a somewhat broad knowledge of those creature types as they are first trained, or in the course of their tree-hugging career. Would a character like that have likely come across the fact that Aberrations originated there? Anything else about it? How it is basically outside the Verse and so it threatens all cosmologies equally?
Thanks

The existence of the Far Realm is spoken about in Druidic circles often, I'd imagine it would be fine to know of its existence and what it does. There's also been several plots revolving around it, so asking other PCs may be worthwhile as well.

Thanks Kamina, that helps some already. When you say "its existence and what it does", specially the latter, am I right to assume this includes things like Aberrations are believed to originate there, that it "brushes against" and tries to influence other planes, the kaorti, Mak Thuum Ngatha, Uvuudaums etc?

The latter is more of an intricate outlook but it's not beyond what a Druidic Circle would teach regarding them. A lot of scholars no doubt would have the information in circulation and as it relates to a foe Druids want gone, that they would know about it too.

Anyone happen to know where a Candle making Pot would be? The one in Khol and Cordor is gone and I can't find any.

I don't think so, it'd be just like any other sneak attack.

I'd argue they can see "oh, I'm paralysed", when they fail the save. In other cases, it opens up a hell of a can of metagaming. You could argue a trained Assassin might tell, but even then, it comes down to a "oh, my character knew this one dude, who once witnessed an assassination, so now I can tell that you are one as well". In combat, it behaves exactly like a sneak attack. I'd say it looks exactly like a sneak attack.
