I dug this up since I've got a moon elf Ar'ellin'ah (Stormy Dawn) I play that is from Evereska. These links are pretty informative as to what happened in Evereska. I also took some from Rand's Travelogue that gives more detail on the Lore of Evereska. I've also editted this due to questions. Thats why I've put this post in two parts now quick to the point timeline with accurate dates to follow. But I've also left the original post on here to get any additional details needed. Not much is known about Evereska but if you look for it there is a really in-depth story you can use for a backstory of where an elf came from. This timeline starts at Pre Amia Cannon and Ends with Amia Cannon and finishes at the current time in Amia which is 1380 DR The Year of the Blazing Hand.
===Current Amian Lore of Evereska=== ***Pre-Amia Events concerning Evereska***
1371 - Year of the Unstrung Harp. The Trial of Cyric the Mad. Kelemvor's role as a stern and strict judge is emphasized with renewed vigor, and Mystra no longer keeps magic from evil mortals. (Crucible - knowledge of this would be very limited among mortals.) Obould and his horde claim parts of the North and establish the Kingdom of Dark Arrows. Alustriel of Silverymoon, together with other northern rulers, forms the League of the Silver Marches to stand against the orcs. The Sharn Wall fails and phaerimm are freed from beneath Anauroch. Evereska is attacked by the phaerimm and their thralls. Khelben leads and elven relief army there, followed by Laeral with members of the Lords' Alliance in the following year. Elves from Evermeet aid Evereska as well. Evermeet is attacked by gold elf traitors lead by Kymil Nimesin, accompanied by drow, Nelanther pirates and the Elf-Eater. The Towers of Sun and Moon are destroyed, High Magic is considerably weakened on Toril. Prince Lamruil Moonflower travels far north to establish a hidden elven city, Auseriel. Tree of Souls is supposed to be planted there when the time is right, making it a safe haven for elves.
1372 - Year of Wild Magic. Bane bursts out of Xvim, reclaiming the Fear portfolio and becoming a greater power after 14 years of absence/death. City of Shade returns to Faerûn from the Plane of Shadow. Some months later, the island of Tarkuul ascends from the depths. Shadovars trap the phaerimm surrounding Evereska with a shadowshell. They begin hunting phaerimm in Myth Drannor. Laeral's relief army finally arrives in Evereska. The shadowshell fails, Shades lose the Karsestone and their mythallar is damaged, when Chosen of Mystra attack Shade. Elves and their allies drive the phaerimm out of Evereska in a tenday. The city's mythal is restored. (The Return of the Archwizards)
***Current Amia Lore***
1374 DR, Year of Lightning Storms
Lightnings strike all over, meteors rain at some places. Tiamat and Bahamut instruct followers in visions to go to those spots, as there are dragon eggs there. Sarya Dlardrageth frees deamonfey from Nar Kerymhoarth, the Nameless Dungeon, and starts a war on Evereska and High Forest. Several leads volunteers from Evermeet on a Crusade to help. Silverymoon help. The campaign in High Forest ends in driving the deamonfey out of Myth Glaurach. Elves begin looking for the hiding Fey'ri army.
Several years or so pass with untold effect to Evereska's War
1380 DR Year of the Blazing Hand. Current time.
Anyways I hope this is easier to understand since that was the whole point of this originall before I editted it. I'll leave the original up but this one, hopefully, is more precise.
Information passed this point has been questioned soo I don't know at what point this OP was brought into question so just be advised this hasn't been verified although I can find nothing wrong with it myself.
***History:*** In Hammer, 1372 DR, Evereska was attacked by freed phaerimms from Anauroch, damaging the mythal and causing further destruction. The Evereskans were able to repel the attack using magic, and a few phaerimm and eladrin who lost their wits in the battle still wander the Evereskan valley. Almost all of the Tomb Guard were destroyed, along with many of the Vale Guard and more than half of the Swords of Evereska.
The damage to the mythal has caused it to cloak Evereska in mist or fine rain and create unpredictable magical effects, and the gardens are not tended so they have become overgrown. A lot of the bridges in the valley are now broken. The phaerimm and eladrin still occasionally clash. Houses are guarded by helmed horrors and shield guardians.
The Shadovar return to Faerûn. They create the shadowshell and lay it over the phaerimms surrounding Evereska and battle them. Several months later, with the assistance of human allies, the shadowshell falls, Evereska's mythal is reestablished, and the phaerimms are driven out of the city.
The survivors of the battle with the phaerimm were all younger eladrin, and they now protect their existence violently if they encounter a threat. They regard looters as deserving of death. Some eladrin now travel from other parts of Faerûn to join the remaining Evereskan eladrin, and some remove the remaining treasures of Evereska, moving them to safer locations.
Rumors and Lore from Rands's Travelogue
For years the elven refuge of Evereska was a lush garden paradise and the largest moon and sun elven city left on Faerûn. None but the elves were allowed into the Last City, although a lucky few half-elven and human "elf-friends" caught tiny glimpses of its beauty through the entrance most used by the elves. Mighty elven warriors clad in enchanted armor that allowed them to fly kept guard over the area, and they did not hesitate to use the wands, rods, and blades of mighty magic that they possessed to protect their valley.
Evereska was a verdant valley encircled by twelve high hills. The elves sculpted the entire valley into a terraced garden. Homes worked into the landscape so as to blend in with the growing plants and form a series of beautiful bowers, dells, and vistas. Evereska itself had no streets, but only winding paths. Large items floated through the city by magic, not on wagons, and no inch of the inner slopes of the encircling hills was wasted. Blueleaf trees sculpted alive by Evereskan-perfected elven magic wreathed much of the valley in royal blue foliage. A powerful mythal that governed weather and physical conditions within the valley inhibited certain sorts of magic and worked against blights and diseases.
Here moon and sun elves dwelt in harmony. While personal rivalries and feuds arose in plenty, no widespread antipathies threatened the city's peace. Instead, Evereskans devoted themselves to becoming individuals of learning, craft, and deep reason. Many Evereskan elves never left the valley, or desired to, since they loved to dedicate their time to creating beautiful paintings and sculptures or mastering the music of voice and instruments. A very few crafted new spells in deep caverns, where they worked in careful concert with the ruling Hill Elders so as to create no unforeseen danger to the city or weakness in its defenses by their work. (By common agreement, existing portals were either destroyed or girt about with protective magic to prevent their use by invaders.)
Since metal ore was scarce in the hills and the rock beneath the city, the Evereskans traded their wines, paintings, carved coffers and boxes, and statuettes for what outside goods they needed and thought little of the world. Unfortunately, the world did remember them -- and just a few months ago, the freed phaerimms of Anauroch attacked Evereska with gleeful savagery.
Exulting in destruction, the ancient workers-of-evil shattered the city and toppled or blasted open many of its mansions. The mythal was left in tatters of wild magic, and it now flickers and fades into sporadic, strange bursts of power. The slaughter of the elves was widespread and terrible, and the phaerimms raged through the bowers and beautiful chambers, destroying everything within reach, as the bewildered Evereskans fought -- too few and too late -- to defend their refuge.
Unleashing every magic at their command, the elves of Evereska eventually broke the phaerimm attack. In the end most of the phaerimms fled from Evereska, perished, or were left much weakened and wounded in their wits and capable of only feeble magic. Some few of these still wander the valley today.
Only the youngest and least powerful elves survived the fighting, for their elders spent their own lives protecting their heirs. Many of these elves also wander the valley wounded and dazed in their wits. The dying mythal now cloaks Evereska in a mist or fine rain most of the time, and the untended gardens are beginning to overgrow the mansions, terraced lawns, and sweeping paths. Many of the beautiful arched bridges are broken and lie fallen, but the valley is so beautiful that it can still awe humans who see it.
Ambitious human adventurers and plunderers, hearing tales of unguarded elven treasuries, now seek the unguarded gates of the valley. Hungry monsters long barred from the elven realm by its protective magic also skulk about its edges, growing bolder with each day. However, forlorn and beautiful Evereska is still decidedly dangerous. The mythal erupts in unpredictable magical effects from time to time, elves and phaerimms still stalk each other and skirmish with dreadful magic, and menacing mansion guardians such as helmed horrors and shield guardians armed with a variety of deadly magic items rise up to strike at intruders.
Riches and treasures lie everywhere in the shattered mansions, but spells that do strange things to intruders protect some areas. Constructs of various sorts and the occasional group of hardened young elves also meet intruders with their own brands of destruction. The angry young elves view all strangers as looters and thieves that deserve nothing but a swift death, while the constructs simply carry out their last command to destroy all who enter the area they guard.
Elves from other lands now head for Evereska to join the remaining Evereskan elves. A few of these think to remove what things of beauty and value still remain in the valley and return to safer retreats; most plan to stay, and rebuild Evereska's greatness. Evereska has been sorely wounded, but it may in time return to something approaching its former glory.

General idea is right, but a lot of that looks like it's from fourth edition sources. I'm fairly certain that in Amia canon Evereska still stands, recovering from the phaerimm but not so much completely in ruins. Galaeron Nihmedu assisted in repairing its mythal, though it's forever tainted by the Shadow Weave. Eladrin aren't a thing yet in 3.5.

The state of Evereska is what it was at the end of the Return of the Archwizards series.

Specifically, Amia is set roughly ten years after the events of RotA, but without going into the 4th ed. timeline. It's likely safe to assume Evereska has had some recovery.

I''ll pull up the sourcebook summary of RotA and slap it in the lore topic. It's kinda important if you play an Elf, or a Shadovar, or a Cormyr-person.

It's currently 1380 the year of the blazing hand in Amia. I'm going by Amia Lore here from what I can tell. AmiaWiki TimelineSave for reading a posted book, lol thanks for that by the way I'm still reading it, I believe my previous post accurate. At least in summary. Evereska's in bad shape has dealt with wars lately (1373) seven years ago basically according to timeline. I can't find anything else that shows different, understandably a lot can happen in seven years but seems to have effected Evereska very little. NinjaClarinet wrote: Specifically, Amia is set roughly ten years after the events of RotA, but without going into the 4th ed. timeline. It's likely safe to assume Evereska has had some recovery. I can't agree with you on this speculation it's wishful thinking at best but if you seriously consider, the mythal before the war was in Evereska and only known by few. Now everyone has heard and knows about the mythal in Evereska and now humans know about the mythal there as well. After the war when they start rescuing elven artifacts from looters wouldn't it be agreeable to say that those artifacts were taken to either Evermeet or, at any rate, "out" of Evereska? Evereska is forfiet, since it's location is known by pretty much -everyone- now and the fact the Shadowweaved Mythal deposits are known to be their and -possibly- in limited supply these unique shards. It's not going to just "go back to normal" or be able to recover.

Uh...no offense, but wtf are you talking about? Elven mythals, Netherese mythallars, and Amia mythal -shards- have nothing to do with one another.

So if you want to help then f%$^g help if not get the f#@k off my thread.... Thank you. But to answer what I -think- can barely understood as a question in that juivenile response, "WTF are you talking about?" It doesn't matter what the damn shards are for they are -apparently- valuable or else they wouldn't have been kept secret by the elves of Evereska. Simply considering the common market and the underground. If these -yes- shadowweaved mythals -are- continuuing to be sought after then they do have value of some kind. But to be honest neither of our comments past a certain point matter. Since it is only that of speculation, or I think you used the word "assume" lol I tried to avoid that one. My speculation would lead me to believe that Evereska has been sacrificed to humanity as much more a market town and any elven artifact of value has been removed. It's still being run as an elven city but it's basically "out of the 'peoples' loop" so to speak. Again though this is no more than speculation the same as this... NinjaClarinet wrote: Specifically, Amia is set roughly ten years after the events of RotA, but without going into the 4th ed. timeline. It's likely safe to assume Evereska has had some recovery. So in that since I assume that of the former and developing into a merchant like town. Two different assumptions neither one more or less true than the other to be honest but imho the one about it becoming a merchant town just makes sense to me personally. Outside of speculation and the whole RoTA addendum it's safe to say as originally put that Evereska is not in the best condition after the war they've dealt with in the last seven year. (editted: I thought since it was a lore thread I would clean up the language on it in case some kids might see it.)

You've completely lost me. I can't find any reference of any elves keeping any shards or deposits of anything secret. Perhaps you can toss a source my way.

Despite what the Amia year is, the DMs have told us multiple times that Amia lore stops before 4th Ed. I've seen people discuss 3.5, but the last I can remember I was told that we didn't go past 3.0. For instance the Silence of Loth has not happened in Amia lore, as I posted in NinjaClarinet's other thread.
I'd ask a DM to weigh in on this to be sure though.
Happy Gaming, ~Ana

Happy Gaming, ~Ana I could go for that too, to I'll just go by Amia timeline for now link for that is above. I also edit the OP with whatever that DM's thoughts might be. I'm sure it's in the descrepancy of the lore "cut off date" I just need to know when so I can change it if needed.

"You've been told." Do you not read the official timeline every time you make a new character? That's what it's there for. The fact that we stop following canon sources slavishly after 1373 (a year which has nothing to do with editions and everything to do with us handpicking the novels we still wanted to include in full, including WotSQ originally) doesn't mean some later events wouldn't happen too, but they just need the lore DM to check the book, explain its consequences to the team and update the timeline. Either way: in 1374 the deamonfey wage war on Evereska. This is the official status quo afterward: Quote: After the High Forest campaign, some elves return to Evermeet. Many stay on Faerûn to garrison Myth Glaurach and wait for a chance to confront the Fey'ri once and for all. Occasional skirmishes between elves and deamonfey occur over the next few years, a prolonged state of guerilla war. A visible elven presence has returned to Faerûn, but they are spread out thin and, in a sense, weaker than ever. Since its losses during Nimesin's betrayal and the Crusade, Evermeet has become reclusive and paranoid. After the phaerimm and Fey'ri attacks, Evereska is far from the peak of their power, either.

For the record, it's 1382, not 1380!

I would say it's 1381, actually.
This is the conclusion I came to when I tried to compile a complete timeline of Cordor. I calculated onward from the Day of Revolution (17.5.2008/1376) on a 1:1 timescale which is what the Cordor plot has mainly moved by. As you can see, 2013 should be 1381. Some dates got jumbled and at some point the timeline jumps ahead a year. There are some errors in it that need to be fixed, some of those probably entirely my fault. It's not just the current date, it's several events in between. I sent the revised timeline to Yossarin some half a year ago for confirmation, but then we both sort of dropped off the face of the earth.
Would some current lore DM be interested to see the PM with this info, if you're about to update the timeline anytime soon?

I still have it but was never able to do anything with it, Iron. I'll forward it to Glim.
EDIT: Never mind, what you sent me was something a little different, though I do remember you asking about the whole Timeline.
