I'll start it off! For a Greatsword wielder is 53 AC (+5 and +4 gear, no shield, including MA and Haste; 60 AC with a +4 tower if MG is acquired) and 46 AB (+4 weapon, 22 base STR; 48 AB with Blass/Aid) good? The AB seems a bit too low; but I think that's cause of the 22 (34) STR. |

No. You'd need something else in the mix like Epic Damage Reduction before those were good numbers. |

Mmkay, was working on a Monk/WM/Fighter 2HD to see if it would work. |

The numbers are fine, two handers don't solo. DPS to your hearts content but make sure to do it with the help of a guy with a shield. Your damage will be amazing and your ac that of a guy in full +5 gear who lacks tumble as a class skill. When in doubt monk speed is best for running and repositioning adj you can kite back to your tank. |

Wait you said greatsword? Err... that's a little different. I thought this was a quarterstaff build and then I actually read it. Either way 53 it's enough if you're not the tank. You're there to damage. |

With the quarterstaff tweak, I would go for that as your WoC on the build concept. I guess Monk21/WM7/Ftr2? I would be interested to see if the wonderful number of attacks per round would serve as my 'something else in the mix' requirement. If not, then this thread would just be me and Bob arguing about what 'good numbers' means, and ain't nobody got time fo' that. |

If I wanted to roll a bard/KC, is it best if I took KC as soon as possible in pre-epic, or wait it out until afterwards? |

Going Bard16/KC4 pre-epic nabs you the fourth attack and Martial Weapon Proficiency, so it's definitely worth it. The two-feat class requirement means no Weapon focus unless you're human, but you can live without it; your primary function is to buffbuffbuff and entrust damage dealing to your compadres. |

If it were me, I'd take it as soon as possible. The heavier armor and weapon proficiencies you get help make leveling easier. *ninja'd* |

I misunderstood the question, duh. I value spellcasting and bard song power well above some silly KC auras. You may nab a single level of it early on for the proficiency and freedom of taking WF whenever (if human), but otherwise go bard all the way. Never played a KC myself, but the Barricade of Swords looks great for levelling. |
