It was a quiet, and particularly chilly evening along the shores of Frozenfar. Though this night seemed much like every other, there was something rather palpable in the air. It was neigh discernable to the average onlooker, who may have been any number of inhabitants along the icy coastlines; but as time had passed, the umbral waters grew ever darker. As the moon crested above the sea, jostling its weight with tidal waves, the waters below refused to reflect any image of the alabaster rock. The waves rippled on, thick and inky, until morning had come again. The sun rose as normal, its rays breaching the thicket that wreathed the seas the night prior. |

This bizarre occurrence would not go unknown to a certain tiefling. She'd mutter to her ever present companion as she took in the scene "Seems to moon maiden and the mistress of mourn are feuding." Silence "Could be the bitch queen too. We should return to the fort and begin to look into this" Silence With those final words the two would make their way back to fogwood. |

A man in a sleeveless vest and fur cloak, who looks like he's doing his best to wear a poker-face and ignore the cold air against his exposed chest and arms, stares at the black water for a few hours before going back inside. |

Overlooking the sea one night, the black-robed wizard peers into the unknowable depths of the waters lapping at the land noticing the absence of the moon's reflection. "A greeting from the Dark River." Let us see what lies beneath." she casts a Daylight spell to see if this affects the unusual darkness. And when she is given a response, she takes the night to cast a full Legend Lore spell upon the phenomenon if left uninterrupted until the break of morning. |
