So I took preacher on a character and I can't spawn the alter and I get a yellow message that says 'deity name' holds no domain on amia but I can still pray just fine.
Is this a bug?

It would probably help to say what deity. If you don't want to for meta reasons, then a PM to one of the dev folk would be good.
