Give everyone a chance to submit their intros, then I thought we would make a thread apart from that which is basically an open character journal. Everyone involved can write down their thoughts, stories, current happenings in it. And I'll be sure to post a link to the "beginnings" thread there too for the readers.

Okay, so I think we're officially done plugging up the request lines, so as they say, all hands on deck.

Are we going to set up a time to be on, or are we just hoping to run into each other at some point?

Or are we at least going to have a time where all of try to be on at somepoint during the week.

Aimi is approved and is go! Get in game, people!

Side note: Aimi, being underage, is subject to the child-PC restrictions (no hunting, level cap of 3). Which I'm utterly at peace with. I just mention it by way of explanation for Aimi's complete lack of adventuring.

Here are the two options.

We set a day of the week where us people convene and have a ball. The cons of this are: not everyone will be accommodated by one block day or time. Life things get in the way, and sometimes, people want to play their characters more than others do, and then there's a cycle of miscommunications, squelching and other problems. I've done that in the past with some players here and we ran into those sort of things. We relied heavily on each other for what's what.

The other option is work on a chain reaction scale. If no one is on, jump on, and try to lure others who see you and want to play. And likewise, when you see other people on from your clan, jump on and join them. The problem there of course, is our time differences. We tend to favor blocks that are most suitable for us to play in.

I think the second option is universally more reliable. The first one is for event-like situations. Simple as that. Don't worry about time! You need not have the daiymo or princess available each time to stick to your character and his code. All the groundwork you've already done for yourself with history, tenets, etc.

With that said, I'm going to go play.

I'd still be interested in making a samurai for this, if more people are still welcome that is!

Edit: I don't really mind an assassin or Wu Jen either if there are already too many samurai!

The more the merrier! Well, unless Sunken says otherwise. My thinking is that due to play times, we'll likely be spread out every now and then. And an extra face could make a world of difference in some of those null-time zones.

Are any of your mantis thingies still around?

I would so very start playing Princess Aimi again in an instant, if there were. I think the Mantis clan was kind of a casualty of the server hard drive crash that kept Amia offline for most of last July; when it came back up, a few of our newer players didn't come back to the server, and a few of our longtime players had moved on to other things. I would love for clan Kamakiri to make a glorious return, though.

Possibly! I'm not sure, myself, given the Shimaodai's brothers end/death together. Did have the Geisha though, so certainly might if others/more of us did want to pick it back up.

Right I am going to try to mess around I think. Im making a wisdom based monk. Would be from the same area as you folk to generate more RP. Instead of the million gods, he would be following "the way". Inspired by daoism, everything has a Qi or Ki (for DnD) and so forth.

Heh. Heh. Heh.

But on other notes, I think the cast was the best part of this launch. I picked the team I wanted, and it paid off. However, I would say that I've entrenched myself heavily with other characters at the time, and I don't think I can take up Ojimoto any time soon!
