So, when I am doing a rebuild from 30 -> 3 and back to 30 again do I get all of the XP I'd need to get to level 30, correct?

But could I in theory wait with using said Xp, and not level, to instead play with someone else, and then use it whenever he levels?

Its not so much of a question if its legit, I see no reason why not, but if it is possible or if the server will prevent it somehow.

Its certainly possible, you just get the xp back you had before, you can just not press the level up button. Though you will get the annoying "please level up button" quite often.

Also, you can still lose XP when you aren't yet fully levelled up, if you mash respawn.

Granted that the Xp lost is based on your level and is hence low at first.

Yep, you can have all your levels waiting and take them as RPly appropriate for you, if you like.
