Hello all. Just wondering if there are any new players on Amia?

I've been hankering for some rp experience recently and was delighted to see Amia helping to keep the NWN online community going strong. So I'd like to start playing on Amia again. I have played briefly on Amia before and thoroughly enjoyed it, however I found most of the time I joined a party it seemed to consist solely of Amia veterans with new characters. For me this slightly ruined the experience, as rather than discovering the vast world of Amia with fresh-faced wonder it was generally a case of "Lets go grind the trolls/orcs/lizardmen/whatever" and everyone knowing exactly where they were going as I tagged along feeling like the clueless newbie I suppose I was. Now don't get me wrong this isn't a criticism, I had some great rp moments with the huge amount of experienced Amia vets I just often felt at a huge disadvantage during rp knowing next to nothing about the world I inhabited.

So basically I just wanted to see if there are any new players reading this and whether they want to link up in game... Or even any vets who like the idea of rolling a new character and playing through Amia like they're discovering it for the first time.

Also apologies for the rather needless length of the post, I'm tired and my brain feels like cotton wool so for some reason I can't seem to write
what I want concisely. Damned insomnia...

Hey, its alright.. I still remember when I popped up here years ago and felt equally clueless. Back then we didn't even have B-Mia. Get some veterans over to B and explore there. The place is good as well and pretty much no one knows their way around because they stuck to what they knew already. ;)

Its a pity, especially since there are countless unexplored AWESOME places the veterans dont go to since they have all leveled their characters in the same ridiculously small number of different spawns for years.

I encourage all new people to take charge and take their parties exploring. It should provide something new to some old players as well.

I'm fairly new, I joined the forums in Dec '09, but I played for a couple months before joining the forum.
Even so, less than a year in game.
I love to explore and I'm sure there's lots of places I've never seen yet.

I like pretending I don't know what's in a given map, actually. If I'm in a large group of new people and they're heading for a map I know OOCly to be assured death at our levels, I'm not saying anything. I'm going right with them and see who survives to run away. Keeps things fun.

Me too - I hate spoilers in general so I don't want to ruin the sense of real adventure for anyone else.
