Well it probably just means they're circulating like they should be. "Hmm, I've watched this guy for two days in a row. He's a good RPer, but let me see what other people are up to, too."

That and it's likely a toss up between "I as a DM can watch a lot of people RP for a very small amount of time each" or "I can watch a few people for a good amount of time, and just circulate." I prefer the later, because I know at any given moment my PC's not giving the performance of his life. But over the course of a half hour or so, he at least does something of significance if I'm on.

Apologises! It was rude. And re-reading it, it wasn't really obvious that I was half-joking, I was kinda under the impression that this thread being called: 'Growing facial hair...body odor...and scuffs on my boots...' kinda implied that it was sarcastic from the start.

It's not that it's not interesting, its just if you go back to the start and follow the argument you can just count the the 'for' and 'against' points of view that just conflict with each other and repeat with no real direction.

Might be worth deciding whether each post is a "boo" or "yay" and add them up at the end? ^.^

I was actually going for sarcastic, but despite my best efforts at levity and my attempts to knock over-burdening realism, the thread went awry into The Really Real World of Online Gaming.

I may work up a support group...we could start with those of us addicted to online games and eventually cycle in reality TV junkies.
