That's how it works in PnP if I am reading correctly (and logically that makes sense). The spell is not halted because the entire module is not stopped everytime timestop is cast. (I'm glad it doesn't either) The hellball will be nullified as Dead has stated unless a correction is made. This is Nwn, Amia. Not some pnp book. A change has to be mechanically implemented into the module before such takes effect here. I'm glad you agree that a change should probably be made. (on a personal note, I wouldn't mind removal of the spell given how GS works, that's just my opinion though, and it's one possibility)

Regarding what Dead wrote..
1. Player A casts Hellball upon party B 2. Player from party B casts Timestop 3. Hellball goes *poof*
--- No?
1. Player A casts Hellball upon party B 2. Player from party B casts Time Stop 3. Hellball damages party B because player A cast the Hellball and didn't use Time Stop
If player A casted Time Stop, party B would not be harmed (unless he timed it I wager). Caster B stops time and only makes his targets invulnerable to damage caused by caster B, not his pals. The spell should be tied with the caster, meaning that only the caster of Time Stop doesn't deliver damage etc, ignoring what is happening around him/her.

Quote: A Cool-down timer would've been enough giving the fact that the major problem that spell possessed was players abusing it by casting it multiple times not letting opponents have their turns in pvp. With a Cool-down timer this won't be a problem, and any PC who can't survive 9 seconds of "paralyze" each 10 rounds deserves to die. +1. Plus the no UMD side of it I think is pretty major and a big thumbs up

Why remove it for non-casters when the spell got nerfed anyway?

A meleeist can throw in a flurry at the end of the duration, a mage can throw a spell. Is a flurry more deadly than a spell?

Enjoy your flat-footed self being crit and/or sneak-flurried for 100+ damage, thus either shattering your concentration while trying to cast a spell, or potentially even being dev-critted without a chance to respond.

Melee still have access to Mord-scrolls, which, without time-stop, makes them terrifying to mages. I'm curious to see how mages will fare when they have to come up with a strategy other than Time stop -> offensive spell -> time stop -> offensive spell -> etc.

Because of course, having Time Stop cast against you leaving your squishy self open for a weaponmaster to smash you in the face was so much better.

I'm glad we had a volunteer. You can all thank Svensk for the topic being locked.
But do it tomorrow.
