If players DC one another, DCs instantly lose value because DCs would suddenly explode all over the place. Svensk's recommendation would come true by default as DCs suddenly don't mean anything to the DMs and DC rates would rise dramatically along with DM expectations. Note that is not me saying that players will "abuse" the privilege. I trust the playerbase more than that. I just that in their non-abusive casual use of granting DCs they will obliterate their value, and DMs then suddenly have less reason to say "well, we gave them DCs, so..." when they are on the fence about a request and instead just deny the request becuase they didn't grant the DCs in the first place.

If people think the DCs are being handed out inadequately and that there is a problem with elitism and whatsoever, cancel them. Remove DCs from the game. Then it's fair and square on all fronts.

I would not mind one bit.

I've gotten several DCs without ever talking to any DM personally. It's all about interacting and creating a unique character with a unique personality and unique views on the world.

I've also been fortunate enough to have DMs take over mobs out of boredom and put me and my companions through hell and make us RP our way out of trouble and these were all mid-level characters of little reputation on the server.

Guess you just have to be lucky, intriguing or in a DM hot spot.

Have fun with your characters and RP and the DCs will come is what I was told to do when I first joined the server

Stereotypes work both ways Mushi, do keep it in mind. Just as you claim to be able determine alignment from looking at a pc for 2 minutes I only needed 30 seconds to see what a Otaku you are.

You guys should have developed a thicker skin already. We have been making fun of the ridiculous black(+red)-with-spikes-style for the past 9 years already. The Eternal Order seldom had any trouble identifying suspects.

We indeed had no trouble identifiying the guilty, as everyone was guilty of something!

DCs are used to divide and conquer the playerbase with their favoritism in order to prevent a mass uprising. Also, Nazis.

Just do it like me and send naked pictures of yourself to all DMs. Those who reward you the next time you log are your faves to look for.

I got most of my DCs by sending nudes to DMs; alas, they also said "I'll give you these if you stop sending us pictures."

So I don't think I can repeat this until we get DMs who have not seen my hideous eldritch carapace bared out unto mortal view.
