I wouldn't say that its outlived its usefullness, but most people points seem to have been made and now its been derailed quite a bit. So hopefully the spamming can stop now.

I actually think this is a nice point to lock the topic. We have made some progress and have a few new ideas how we can address some issues, and once we have had some time to have a go at them we can return to it.

I'm going to take a look at everything this thread has covered and make a kind of summary, with some points for DM's and points for players. I'll lock the thread for the moment, as it seems most people have spoken their thoughts/concerns, and we don't want to muddle it further.
If you haven't yet posted, but want to, I would encourage you to do a quick check to see if anyone's posted your concern already. If not, feel free to PM me or another DM, and we'll throw it on here.
For the time being, I'll lock this thread and make my summary afterwards. Then we'll give it some extra time to put the proposed changes into effect, then re-open it to evaluate our progress.
