Saying no to a free attack?
Great cleave is the useless feat here, taking great cleave when you're not going for overwhelming crit is the fail here, imho.

Can I ask why? How often does one kill more than one enemy a round?

Cleave only works when the killing blow is that last one of the flurry, because if it's not, then the Cleave hits the same target again with the next blow of that flurry, which is of course pointless since by definition that target is already dead. For a simple four attacks/round guy who's Hasted, that's 40% fail rate. For Monks and dualwielders it's even higher.
Great Cleave does the same thing, but since it's Great, you get a second Cleave attempt from the one you sent into the already-dead thing. Or: Cleave is broken, Great is the fix.

So the consensus seems to be not going with WM but just Cleric/Fighter. I guess that could work but would loose the goodness the WM provides but would free up a ton of feat slots. Once can still go the dev crit route without taking WM, eh?

Have seen enough non Dev critters that are not WM's.
The only good thing about WM is the increased threat range.
But its not really required.

Incorrect.
WM also equals more AB (which can, in effect, mean more damage since you can safely run Power Attack 24/7 against more enemies), higher Damage/Crit (increased multiplier), and of course the increased crits/round (increased threat range). Its epic progression is quite nice, too, giving an epic feat -and- another stacking +1 AB every 3 levels after 10
That said. WM needs alot of feats. Thus you shouldn't mix it with other feat-intensive classes, such as Spellcasters or Rogues.

Well, I think that was in regards to Devastating Critical. In that instance, it's pretty much true: the only major effect WM levels will have on your Dev-capability is the increased threat range. Dropping WM altogether will probably mean more AB anyhow, considering the ability points saved.
It's going to be a little difficult building a good cleric who can Dev without subraces, I think, but certainly not impossible. You'll have to drop so many feats that you'd probably be better off without it, but I can imagine it being an important part of the concept of a burly warrior-priest. You won't be getting any Epic Spells, I reckon.

40% + The -5 AB on that Haste Attack effectively reducing cleave to less than 50 percent efficacy.

From a purely statistical point of view, the drow may be a better choice for this build but I alreay have one and I think I like the flavour of the Dwarf more. So, if we were to drop the WM levels, would fighter cleric still be a good build considering I wanted to get into Dev Crit? If so, how would you guys suggest the level proression go? I am leaning toward Cleric levels earlier so he can heal.

A Cleric/WM/Fighter is a fairly pretty build, but Dev makes it ugly.

The unarmed HULK SMASH character is coming along extremely fun to play and RP, but I encountered a problem which sort of make me question the original build plan I had.
I was going to go with 20 monk/ 4 fighter /6 Dwarvern Defender, but I discovered his unarmed attack goes down to 1-3 base with his armor and shield, sort of making the monk levels silly except for Ki Strike (which I'm not even sure will help much).
His wisdom is dumped, so monk abilities also aren't worth it.
Would it perhaps be better to go with more fighter and DD levels for BAB and feats?
Any suggestion on the number of them?
Base stat array, for reference:
16 str (everything after 21 con)
13 dex
18 con (going to 21 for EDR)
13 int
8 wis
6 cha

Does it really go down to 1-3 base? I really thought it kept the fist damage in armor... damn shame. Sorry about the bum advice.

I'm really kinda set on the idea of shield bashing, headbutting, body slamming, uppercutting, and hugging things to death, and at this point he is set up for armor anyways.
35 AC at level 8 (40 in expertise) makes me happy, and the damage isn't all too bad since I can still use Flurry of Blows.
I'm just not sure how to finish the build off. Epic Weapon Specilization will help with his fist damage, just not sure what mix of Dwarvern Defender and Fighter to go with, and what point to cut off Monk. I think I'm going at least Monk 6 for IKD.
I always remember unarmed damage staying even in armor, just losing the monk attacks per round. It's exrtra strange I can use Flurry of Blows still, but get 1-3 damage.
Still a fun character, just want to make him not useless.

I wanted to make a brawler myself once... if I remember correctly, I only found two ways to make it somewhat passable. Barbarian/4BG/4Fighter EWS + D Might chap or something Rogue heavy, relying on sneak die for damage.

I have fond memories of some chaps 6Monk 4Fighter 20 Paladin. Feat Strapped for sure, but I couldn't touch him on Khartak (being my highest AB chap at the time).
The awesome thing about going unarmed on that feller was that he could take his Criticals and Unarmed Focus in pe-epic whilst taking all his Monk in epic and maintain full BAB whilst flurrying, amazing seeing AB in flurry running down from mid 50's to just over 40. Didn't have AC for crap mind (other than shield) think he was playing 20str 18cha 10int 10con 14wis 10dex.
Did about 40 damage a hit aswell and his buffed up Wis kept him running prayer all day. When he really showed his colours was with his War Domain Cleric mate. Absolutely Brutal Partnership.

Speaking of monks! I had a discussion about a level 30 wisdom monk with someone, but I can't seem to make it work- the AB makes me unhappy.
Any tips?

Looking for a Cleric build, hoping on a caster that can Melee well and not have to rely too heavily on summons, since most clerics I make do rely on their summons to keep them alive. He's going to be a Mulan. (+1 Wis, -1 Dex)
He will take the War + Strength Domains.
I usually prefer to max Wisdom for more spell uses. The obvious feats for me are Maximize + Extend, I'm not sure If I want to go EsF Evocation, though very tempted to.
Only Epic spell I'll likely go for is Greater Ruin, though I usually go for EDK or EMD.
Having Div Might/Shield would be nice, though not required.
Possible build layout I thought could be 28/1/1 - Cleric/rogue/Fighter, Tumble, UMD and possibly Discipline if I can fit it all in.
UMD isn't all that important, I don't usually find my Clerics needing it, so it's easily dropped without much hesitation if something better comes along.
Any suggestions?

I understand that Thundering Rage is 1D8 Sonic plus DC20 On-Hit Stun. I have a couple of questions out of curiosity.
Does that feature override any onhits you have on weapons? Can they both fire in the same round and force two saves and potentially both effects?
The normal weapons Onhit tells you %, DC, and duration.
Is this 100%?
What is the duration?
Thanks!

The sonic from Fundering Win overrides any sonic on your weapon.
All On-hits even if they are the same type will activate.
Therefore if you have deafening clang + stun d18 and thundering rage, your weapon will roll a DC for all of them.

Thundering Rage doesn't stun, and does 2d6 extra dmg on a crit while activated.
Wiki wrote: Type of feat: general (epic) Prerequisite: epic barbarian 21st level, greater rage, strength 25+
Specifics: Any weapon the barbarian wields while in a rage does an additional 2d6 points of damage on a critical hit. There is a 50% 25% chance for a creature hit by one of the barbarian's weapons to be deafened for 3 rounds.
Use: automatic
Notes: Requires Hordes of the Underdark.
There is a fortitude save against the deafen effect with a DC of 20.
The in-game description incorrectly lists the chance of deafening at 50% when the chance is actually 25%.
A weapon's massive critical property will override the bonus damage a character would have received from this feat.
Thundering rage does stack with overwhelming critical

You'll want good Charisma, because you'll be utilizing it with War domain power and Divine Might/Shield. There's not a lot to it, really. 20 Wisdom, rest into Str and Cha. You could pick 6 Monk for free IKD without meeting the Int requirements if you wanted to, I suppose. That's a melee cleric.
If you really just want a caster, you'll do OK in melee without dedicated feats. I'd take Silent Spell (I guess), as much Wisdom as you can, and definetely Epic Evocation. Practically every offensive cleric spell is Evocation: Hammer of Gods, Word of Faith, Sunbeam, Earthquake, Implosion.

Moshing,
Any idea what the duration is? Long enough to switch targets and kill something else bugging you, leaving the stun victim for later cleanup? In practice, how often does it activate?
What immunity affects it? Mind? Freedom?

Okay, so going with more of the Melee one, I came up with:
STR - 14
DEX - 8 (Reduced to 7)
CON - 12
INT - 12
WIS - 16 (Raised to 17)
CHA - 14
With that I can use three lvl up attributes on WIS to get it to 20, the other four on CHA bringing it to 18, so I'll be likely to take a Greater CHA feat to make it land even.
Panthers Swiftness to sort out the bad Dex score.
He is going to be a follower of Anhur, so I can't go Lawful for Monk, unless Amia allows Lawful for him. Though, I'm likely to just sack the Monk since I wouldn't want to sever the 25th caster lvl.
With that, I have enough to get; Concentration, Heal, Spell craft and I have enough points lefft over for one Skill Dump, which is likely to be Tumble > Disc, since I'm not very PvP orientated.
SSound good upto now?
EDITED: I wrote that there were be five remaining Attribute points left over to put into CHA, but that was a mistake, menaing only four were left over.

Might as well drop Con to 10 and start with 15 Cha, IMO.
From a power perspective, I'd drop Heal. But then, it is awfully cool to heal 100+ HP with a healkit.

Okay, that sounds good.
I came up with this:
STR - 14
DEX - 8
CON - 10
INT - 12
WIS - 16
CHA - 15
CLERIC_
1 - Power Attack, Cleave
3 - Wepon Focus
4 - WIS+1 ( 18 )
6 - Div Shield
8 - WIS+1 ( 19 )
9 - Div Might
12 - WIS+1 ( 20 ) - KD
15 - Blindfight
16 - CHA+1 ( 16 )
18 - Imp Critical
20 - CHA+1 ( 17 )
21 - Armor Skin
23 - Greater WIS - Only it would allow me to take
24 - CHA+1 ( 18 ) - Epic weapon Focus
26 - Greater WIS II
27 - Epic Spell; Greater Ruin
28 - CHA+1 ( 19 )
BARD_
29 - Tumble Skill D
FIGHTER_
30 - Epic Prowess, Greater CHA
Ending Stats:
STR - 14
DEX - 7
CON - 10
INT - 12
WIS - 22
CHA - 20
The one fighter lvl instead of Cleric is because the only bonus feat I could take with Cleric was a Greater WIS, which would have landed me on an odd score.
Alternatively, I can drop Weapon Focus + Imp Critical for Maximize and Extend, that then opening one extra Epic feat.

You should be able to juggle your feats and ability upgrades so that you can deal with the "forced" Great Wisdom. Armor Skin can be taken in its stead if you still haven't, and you can instead use more points on Cha at level-up.
Cleave is broken and rather pointless, plus it can be gained off a feat. Extend Spell is an absolute must, considering you'll constantly be running round-based spells like Prayer, Battletide, Divine Favor and Divine Power. Maximize Spell is also very important, but I'm not sure what you should drop in its favor. Use an epic feat for it (or rather, something else pre-epic) since you'll have some to spare if you pay attention to detail. (Epic Prowess is the lowest priority, apart from Great Stat after evening 'em out.)
Drop the Fighter and just allocate your ability points and epic feats differently, and you should be fine.

Okay. I'm happy with dropping something for Extend + Maximize, I'll have a little play around with it then, see if I can find a better way to utilize the skills and such.

Epic cleric bonus feats: armor skin, automatic quicken spell, automatic silent spell, automatic still spell, epic spell focus, epic spell penetration, great wisdom, greater spell focus, improved combat casting, planar turning
I believe these are the feats you can pick at Cleric 23, 26 and 29. Don't take them at levels where you have other stuff available.

You're almost always going to be better off with the extra skill points, saved feats, and more sneak attack since you're a dex base. And this is coming from the 13 rogue/10 SD/7 WM, just so you know I'm not talking out my ass.

I've gone for a Brognar variant for Brilmara Coalhewer buuut, already, in chatting with other players, there's some serious PvP flaws with this build (ie., fighter/wm/dwd). If I were to swap rogue for WM, would that fix the problems with the build or should i just scrap the character and start again?
The problem seems to be, a). no UMD and B). The build will eventually fail because on Amia, people just chug heal pots so even with great damage, its not enough. The Build is basically designed to win through a battle of attrition, having more HP and DR and good damage (x4 crits). But on Amia, that's not quite enough because of the millions of Dev. Critters (you're bound to roll a 1 eventually) and bigby's type scrolls...

That doesn't fix the basic problem, which is that you have nothing to beat Heal spam. In fact it makes it worse. A greataxer or halberdier WM can still drop a pair or even triple of crits against a fair percentage of builds, and even on the 30STR that the DR-king has to put up with, that's Game Over unless you were at 300HP and virtually no-one chugs a Heal with so many left.

Hmm....sounds like this one's destined for the Purge button....not that that's an issue, given its only a lowbie right now. Okay, thanks, *goes back to the drawing board*

Can you Dual-Wield Whips?
I've had a Build in mind. It's a 29 Rogue, 1 Ranger Build(Ranger for 1x extra feat at 30)
It will have Insane sneaks. Everything will be focused in Strong sneaks, and Traps. Deady madda fakkin' traps!
Thoughts? Can you or can't you Dual-wield Whips?

No, Whips are main-hand only.

Noooooh....
I was thinkin' something in the line of "Underworld", Where the Vampire guy uses two Razor Barbwire Whips. *Drools *
I Really want to make as much Rogue as possible. The High amount of Skillpoints are Essential and ...MUCH FUN! Hips is Dead Weight, When i know it's possible to kill somebody with traps a million times quicker.

For the record, no concept should ever be lifted from Underworld.

Allright. NEW IDEA!
What's coolest.
An Epic Dodge + HipS + Weaponfinesse + Ranged Ranger
Or an Dev.Crit + Hips + Trapsetting Ranger
Both Specs Dual-Wield, Obviously. Since the class get's em for free.

Ok, so if one went with a Cleric Fighter and still had Dev Crit, that should be doable, eh?

Definitely doable. The resulting character may or may not be good, though. Depends on what you're looking for other than Dev. Crit as to whether it's worth doing.

You'll find that the former does mostly sad damage and the latter gets sad AC and Hide/MS. The Traps one gets more synergy from Ranger levels than the first build, however.

Epic Dodge is pretty bad on a character that is primarily a ranger, imo. Since you need 10-13 levels to get it, you end up gimping essentially the whole reason for going above ranger 9. (Bladethirst, Animal Companion, Bane of Enemies)

Is it possible to make a decent spear wielding char? If so, how?
Myself I am totally blank, except for perhaps a cleric/monk/fighter?
