Do Magic Ammo Bags work on Grenade-type weapons, such as Alchemists Fire? And if not, is this something that should/could be taken to Improving Amia or even open to a DC request?

Where do I post questions/issues about spawn CR?

I'm noticing on Caraigh in the area just past the goblins on the Coast Road that there are undead spawns in both adjacent areas (Dormenwood for example) which are extremely powerful. I thought Caraigh, particularly the entry areas, were intended for low levels but perhaps these spawns are intentionally much higher for some IC reason I'm not aware of.

Don't go out at night! The undead are meant to be nasty though, yeah, for IC reasons.

Yeah it's a layover from the whole Orcus cult thing. The undead come out only at night (8p-5a server time I think?), other than that it's like it used to be!

Ammo bags work on arrows, bolts, and bullets, that's it.

Most of the time on Caraigh, the undead are out between 8pm to 6am, but not always the case, there are stragglers lol.
Also, it's not quite the same as it was, given what Rigela said, so be prepared haha

Trident question

I read here that weapon focus - trident does NOT give bonus AB, but everything else works fine on trident. Is it true? :)

Yes. But you can use it with a shield! :D It's treated as a one-handed weapon.

Foolish question but one i have to ask given that it has been oh so many years since i played the game with any conviction, but what types of AC are there and what does and doesn't stack? At present i guess i'm wearing something that doesn't stack with something else or when someone spells me up... i'm just not seeing it!

Dodge from different sources will stack up to +20 total, it's lost when flat-footed unless you have an appropriate feat to negate that, if I recall.
Natural, deflection, shield and armor all take the highest amount, whether it's by spell or items and don't stack. Armor skin gives you natural armor to your character that adds +2 ac that will stack with armor AC from items/spells. Keep in mind of what armor you wear if you are dexterity based, since anything beyond cloth limits your max dex ac.

Armor - The actual armor/clothing slot
Shield - Separate from Armor
Natural - Barkskin & amulet usually
Deflection - Things you wear Cloaks, Gloves, Belts, Rings
Dodge - Boots, and I think Dexterity?

As for stacking umm... I'll have to let one of the build monkeys answer. I know that Deflection doesn't stack, that's the one you get a message on usually. Often times spells such as Mage Armor I think, will give you a +1 to multiple AC types, such as Natural, Deflection, & Dodge, but since deflection doesn't stack you'll only get a +2 AC instead of +3. That's just used as an example, I don't remember off the top of my head exactly what Mage Armor gives, just that it's multiple.

AC types: Armor (armor, some gloves), shield (shields), deflection (cloaks, helms, rings), natural (amulets), dodge (boots)

Dodge is the only AC that stacks, up to a +20 dodge AC bonus.

For DC item requests is there a known list of properties which are an automatic No?

There are so many item properties and many have different strengths. For example I've never seen +6 enhancement on a weapon. But maybe it's been approved before and I just don't know it. The same can be said for various immunities, resistances, feats, etc. Is it all on a case by case basis? Something normally not approved but with the right balancing negative properties it could be? If something is available on a store bought item is it automatically fair game on a DC item?

I understand this is potentially a big grey area and it may not be possible to answer but I'm sure others struggle with the uncertainty of knowing how to frame a request and may invest in RP towards a goal only to later realize it was unrealistic to begin with. Thanks for your time.

I am pretty sure a +6 enhance vs everything wouldn't be allowed, but I believe a +6 enhance vs Undead was approved; so a +6 vs a racial class sounds doable.

There are +6 throwing daggers IG, but I wouldn't count on it being put on a generally better weapon set. As long as you pose your request reasonably we can help fine-tune things into a balanced state if you're not exactly sure where the harder lines are.

Well, that was just an example. Others might be:
Damage Resistance Divine, Positive, or Magic
Physical Damage Resistance greater than -/5. This came up on a recent thread.
Damage Reduction greater than +5/5. Is +6/5 off limits? How about +5/10?
Spell Immunity by spell or level or school.
Spells - Use per Day. Is there a limit?

I'm guessing much of this is case by case and dependent on balance considerations but I guess I'm just wondering if there's something considered game breaking by itself such that it should be avoided.

I've got to be honest this is an area where I've struggled before and it's mainly my own doing that I ended up disappointed. Hence the question.

Epic gloves are +6 so I bet so.

But gloves and throwing items are a bit different; you won't see a sword with a flat +6 I bet.

Here's a link with some of that stuff spelled out, at least, including the +5/+6 Enhancement bit.

Do feytouched feel the presence of cold iron from short distances like real fairies apparently can?

I think you kind of have to say they don't, just because of the can of worms that would open if they could. You'd get feytouched complaining about how they should have been able to detect that invisible/stealthed attacker if they have cold iron on them, or whatever, and it would be a huge hassle. And anyways, feytouched don't get the DR 5/cold iron that full fey do. They don't have the weakness to it, why would they have the ability to detect it?

Our lore on Fey says they can detect their banes and lures from pretty far away, if not the exact position of them than at least the general presence. In terms of dealing with other players IC, I would assume it would need to be cooperative like any other PnP ability not represented in game mechanics.

So does this work the same way for feytouched?

Reading it on the Wiki it sounds like its haste without +4 ac/+1 attack

Should not increase casting speed. It is basically haste without extra AC or +1 attack.

He's probably talking about Throat Shot, which is a PC taught ability known by afew archers on the server, not the Assassin ability.

Hey, yeah I was. I have a guy that would love to use that ability, it's very thematic for anti-arcanists. Is it possible to learn that on his own or is he out of luck? I don't think anyone plays anymore that have the original ability and since scripting is down he can't make his own one.

So, having defeated the 10% chance for 30 times, I can now conclude that Logs do grow in the Underdark, but the Millers haven't figured out how to make Empty Pages out of them in their Tredmills.

On a completely unrelated note: Is there a Windmill in a place where the more evil races can go?

Thanks

Can scrolls of Tenser's be bought from NPCs? Can they be scribed by PCs?

I don't know if there's a NPC shop that sells them, but I do know they can be scribed by PCs. The only spell restricted from scribing is Timestop, I believe.

You can scribe Timestop scrolls, you just can't cast the spell from them.

And I think there's Tenser's scrolls... maybe... I don't recall really.

That's weird... I could have sworn we changed it so you could scribe to trade scrolls between wizards but just couldn't cast it.
