Yes, so nice we'd be seeing flying people everywhere. Ergo: no go, no temptation.

Only the mages, and most can nuke half a city block on their own anyway, so a bit of levitating with a cantrip sounds good to me. You could put it in and make it only accessible if you are level 30 or something. *shrugs*.

Considering that the Aurora Engine, without utilising haks, was never designed to support monkeygrip in any form, I wouldn't really say it's a downside.
Standard nwn animations don't take into account monkeygrip either.
Oh! Tormak you have to try dual wielding spears! I'd do it... but my monkeygripper ain't human.

Apparently, you can't summon a familiar for a mage while you're using an alternate combat animation.

Not surprising, the animations aren't made for casting with. Thats what he Arcanist animation was for, to give mages a combat animation.

I mostly just wanted Demon Blade's relaxed posture. It was largely just an experiment. No biggie.

I may be wrong, but I think other styles could do the magic thing. Demons Blade wasn't created by the guy who made the pack, he simply found it and added it with the authors permission. So it's pretty choosey about how it works.
Try the other styles.

I do have a bug with the Kensai style.
Whenever i start run using that ACP the cloak is blowing, which is ptretty cool. But! When i stop running and just stand, the claok is still blowing, which looks pretty stupid. Reeqipping the cloak fixes it, though.
Does anyone have the same problem?

Quite possible. It changes your animations, which has effect on a lot of things, including clothing and wingnodes.

It removes cloaks, Scabbards, Quivers, Backpacks.... So technically it should remove wings, correct?

It should be fixable by re logging. The wont be gone forever.

I'd honestly suggest removing Demon Blade. It's not made by the guy who made the pack, and it's made specfically for a module, os it's probably glitchy up the ass compared to the rest.
Also, all the animations where made before 1.69 content, so it may have compatability issues, yes. While 1.69 added a lot, it also caused a lot of hell in the custom content community.

I myself like the Demon Blade animation with simultaneous dual wield thrust attack, as far as I can tell it's the only dual wield option available, that actually says it's dual wield. I'll have to try Kensai style and others too. Seems with all styles I lose my cloak but "bugs" are inevitable with new stuff. My toon actually looks better without a cloak sooo it's good in that aspect.

Well nice idea the acp but for two or three styles in certain conditions they pain me to the core of my heart. Even the defauld hedge cutting looked more realistic. But guess people like anime fighting styles and I can't espect everyone to know the right way.
I'm also amazed it was allowed with all the bugs...
But anyway my main question is. How does one go about making an acp? I thought it might be an interesting thing to learn. Heck might even get the hang of it and make some proper styles.

Mind that it's not something we support, outside the convo switch that I added. Don't use it if you don't like it. You'd have to find the original author for more info, I guess.

Good stuff, just with a few glitches. You just gotta find which one works.
I actually like the no-cloak glitch. I get to see my character from behind now. Ooh....I hope characters still get the benefit of the cloak with the glitch, I should have checked that. [I assume it's just visual]
Just one question- Can other players see your awesome moves if they have acp as well? [I assume so]

Yes, they can, and I laugh my ass off at most of the choices people make, which generally is less class based and more "OMG I CAN HOLD MY WEAPON BACKWARDS" based xD

The problem is that all disco really had to do was edit the original dialog for ACP. So unless he hand wrote a new one, which given his "No edit" policy may infact be the case, it would be hard to implement new animations. Secondly, there is a strong lack of combat animations as it is, most of them are in this pack anyway or contain massive glitchs and bugs. Thirdly, there may be some aspects of the original ACP file that relates to the animations and how they are turned on and off, which could also make implementing more very very very hard.
I'd be inclined to say adding more may be to much trouble. But up to Disco. Don't know how far he looked at the override files.

Looking at things myself I will say now that all the new Amia Hak clothes may not work this. The way it is looking right now is everything needed to be animated for whatever suit you are wearing and what race you are.
Its really not a simple task. New animations will be increasingly hard unless they are official from ACP.

New Torso's generally work fine, since the Torso isn't animated. I had the new armor torso on my toon and it works perfectly well with the animations. Their is a CEP fix for it of course, may have some answers if any clothes are present in CEP. *shrugs*

Not far. Mahtan bugged me about adding this, so I did. I didn't want to mess up my crafting dialog so I added the ACP options to the rest menu instead and didn't look back.

Yeah I messed with all the Phenos and seeing how they will work and appear to people without downloading them. Disco just needed to add the dialog to use them once I found that people without the special Phenos will just see the default. So all went well.
Though if the ACP animations do update, say the demonblade gets cloaks and tabards fixed to work with it, the player only needs to download those. No more server changes need to be done.

Okay, what I witnessed was not with Demon Blade but with Fencing.
My character for whatever reason didn't have a cloak showing anymore when I logged back in, and Fencing ACP was still set "on".
Other characters also no longer showed to be wearing a cloak- however, I came across a dragonkin (copper) and their Wings would still show. [So if they put a cloak on, wings vanish to a bare back. Cloak actually off, wings could be seen.]
The RDD was not using ACP. I don't know about other players, but it was looking universal the cloaks were not displaying on anyone.

Does the graphic just disappear or does it actually get removed from the cloak slot? Also have you all been using one specfic type of cloak? or just the same ones. Both my characters cloaks stay on when I log in and out, so unsure what the issue is.

And to confirm, all the characters having the issue are using Demon Blade Style or have Wings?
Demon Blade animation was created before the cloaks were put in. Thus the animation for them doesn't exist.

I'm using the Fencing style for my character and everybody's cloak shows up fine, including hers. Must be some sort of bug?

Cloak visually is gone.
Cloak is still equiped and DOES add the properties (+4AC, +4Save= Cloak of Fortification tier 4)
Un-equipping and re-equipping did not have any effect on the visual glitch. Turning off the ACP did not either. Zone transitions with ACP on and off again with cloak on/off again didn't fix the visual glitch. Narrowing down to probably taking a re-log with ACP off to get the visual back. If it matters to anyone.
And specific cloaks? It turn off -everyones- on my screen. I could tell when an RDD put their cloak on as their wings vanished and it showed a plain wingless back.
EDIT:
My character is Wingless and did not use demon blade style. Wingless and used Fencing style.
I just happened to witness a wing'd PC while I had the glitch.

That sounds more like a bug with you then ACP. Redownload ACP I'd say, and try again, it may have been corrupted when you downloaded it. If that doesn't fix it I'd say it's a you issue.
I've only lost my cloak with Demon Blade, and even then if I disabled the style I got it back, so yea, you. Unless of course your using one of those two new helms, that may do it perhaps, or not. Who knows.
It's in the end an override, and overrides are notorious for having weird issues. Risk that you take when you use them unfortunatly.

I think I got the glitch of the cloak disappearing using the first unarmed attack.

Nobodies really said much about the unarmed attacks, but it wouldn't surprise me if some have bugs. The creator admitted they had bugs, and thus why he was working on 4.1, why he never submitted it last year however when he said it was complete is beyond me.

All the unarmed styles have disappearing cloaks for me. However if I disable the styles and re-equip the cloaks, they seem to show up again.
Unfortunate that you can't use the styles and cloaks as the same time however.

Yes, that. I forgot to mention that too. The stats of the cloaks remain, you just cannot see them anymore. In order to wear it, you unequip-reequip, but you have to disable the ACP.

Oh, I think I know why. All the unarmed styles where created before 1.68, and have yet to be updated. Same issue as demonblade I imagine.

Well, perhaps it's an idea to contact the creator of ACP and ask if he's willing to finish it?

If he would be willing, that would be awesome. Sain just doesn't look the same without his cloak on...

Already tried. No personal details listed on Nwvault, I left him a message on the site and thats probably about as best as I can do.
Of interest however are these
http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Ha ... il&id=7730

Now while they have little relation to Amia, they are said to be hybrid packs, which leads me to believe that perhaps they have updated versions of animations for the new 1.69 stuff. Particularly that NWN enchanced pack seems to be up-to-date with 1.69 according to the specs. I'm going to download it and take a look at the file...
