I know many women who would find this pretty hilarious. I might just have friends with very broad senses of humor, but I don't see the big reason for this being offensive. Hardly the most tasteful, sure. Still amusing.

My bad, it was an insensitive comment that, while not intended to be disparaging of your opinion, was poorly worded. However, your comment was a generalization, and I was merely stating that I considered that portion incorrect. Women I know may not dislike it, you do. I don't think that is related to being male or female. I'm sorry that you do dislike it. Since it is a single occasion on a day which is intended to be humorous and is clearly not intended to be mean-spirited or, I hope you'll consider overlooking it. If not, then again, my apologies.

Yeah, I'm making an effort to be sanguine about it, recognizing that it's not meant to be an ongoing thing. I'm not going to stop observing that it's tacky and immature at best (and at worst, hostile and demeaning), but I'm not going to pitch a fit about it or boycott the server or anything.

Making it a matter of gender is irresponsible. Implying that "women" as a group have some sort of opinion or reaction to this is essentialization and naturalization just like many misogynistic stereotypes which I imagine you're conscious of - or, for that matter, the assumptions that men are happy with porn references because "boys will be boys."

Porn is not as tacky or immature as D&D, though. At best, they make a good match. >:>

That said, I thought this was a prelude to a big April's Fools. Where is it?

Edit: With the first paragraph, I don't mean to take this too seriously or imply that's what I really believe. But if you're looking at it from that perspective, it's certainly something to consider.

To be fair, it has been up for well over 24 hours. Maybe next time just be mindful of the kids we all know come to play here, and their parents who look in to make sure they're not getting in trouble. What I dont get is why you cant objectify a woman when she herself does it of her own free will for a living and knows in truth she is being treated like a object and does not care....but someone else gets all defensive on her behalf.

Note that applies to all people who deal with stuff base off their physical appearance male or female. Adult film stars and even just models are based off their attractiveness and offen in a sexual desirability kind of way.... again the people in this field of work understand that.
