Bane is anti-Bless, it's an aoe that gives the stated penalties.

Is it the base stat or the modified one which is applied to mighty on ranged weapons?

Can I cast 'reincarnation' on people and have them change their race if they want?

It's your STR modifier at the time of using the item. So if you increase it with magic, potions or gear, it's that final number that is used.

I imagine /if/ this were permitted, it would be under some extremely long and detailed RP combined with a metric ton of DCs. LOL. That's definitely a maaaaajor change for a character to encounter. Not to mention the high chance of returning as something like a rat or other small animal. Haha.

I just view Tormak pulling a Henry Ford kind of line where he said "Any customer can have a car painted any colour that he wants so long as it is black. "

Yeah you can have them reincarnate as any race they want, as long as its the race they have.

Seems fine to me assuming a dm is present to roll the die and the other party is willing.

Would make for a more flavorful rebuild imo

Yeah some people would start changing their race like underwear.

Race changes after chara creation are very rare and only approved under specific circumstances.

Sometimes, rarely though, race change might take place through a DM plot.

The book you're given doesn't mention anything like this at all and the library in 3 steps doesn't have anything intractable.

Plus you only get one guess per reset.

So the next questions from the next npc are even more vague. Is my shadow friend SUMMONED from my own shadow or is it FORMED from my own shadow or two-other answers that are equally obtuse.

This stuff isn't in the book, and as far as I can tell, wasn't in the class. Is there actually a place you can go learn this stuff in game? The headmistress or shadow professor just resigned too so like where do I even go? What's even the difference? Either way it's blocking shops.

Have to try again next reset I guess!

Yeah, that test conversation is rubbish. It's been on the block for updating several times, but then something breaks or things start exploding in the community that pulls attention away from it and it gets forgotten for a time again.

I'll see about dragging it up and overhauling it again, thanks for the reminder.

I'm really trying not to be a dick/asshole/passive-aggressive here.

How about, instead of just gutting it, we update the book you get so it actually has the answers in it? Surely checking the questions asked, and then adding a few paragraphs to the in-game book item can't be too difficult to do.

Then one guess per reset won't be as bad because the answers are in the book you have to get in order to take the tests.

That could be done as triage, sure. It doesn't address the actual problem with the quizzes being a mess and out of order in the first place, and asking misleading or useless things - so the quizzes are being overhauled regardless to "bring them up to code" as it were.

AFAIK, it's just another job system station. As long as you agreed to only use it near bodies of water(there's nothing that mechanically would force you to), I'd hope they'd work with you. More traveling fishermen!

0.o Oooooo Dirt fishing! Lava Fishing! LOL Naw, i have way more respect for the past time. I had a lot of good memories of my pops and family growing up camping, i would never taint that. In game i'll sit there for hours fishing and doing chores around the house. I like to explore and i see so many good fishing spots im like a kid at the candy store except it's closed. :( Job system wise Fisher is my favorite job. If this was ever to be approved by DM's and i was ever caught miss using it i would agree to Permanent Ban or deletion of my char. Sooo is this a worthy request DM Team? And cost wise is it 5 Dc's?

It would cost 10 DCs since it's a Job System thingy. You should go ahead and make your Request for it. :D

Ahhh cool, im all Dream coined out, and was blown away from other Pc's donating Dc's for my reskins, but when i have the amount i'll make the request. Theres other Pc's who need Dc's donated for them. :) LOL I seriously plan to have a redonkulious amount of reskins for my Druid Nova and other stuff. I don't want to rely on other's footing the bill for me. I just need to stop being so RP gun shy and get in the rp mix. I'm really digging Nova and think she will be the last char i ever make. Thanks for the quick response LetumLux! 8D

Maybe you should make it now and "someone" with a hard on for PLCs and Job System stuff will donate to the request so they can have their own enjoyment of seeing other people with them, so you don't have to feel bad about the donation. I have no idea who that could be, but I hear they really excited about the change in donations so people can pay for the whole thing for another player now.

Yeah. Mostly checking that if I go through it looking for "elf" domain, that I get all the Seldarine possible, cause I dont really know all their names and checking it against list on wiki seems like lot of work. :D Thank you for help, Rigela.

For the Team:

If you had a DC item that was purchased that is marginally inferior to the "cookie-cutter" example offerings, am you allowed to re-request the same item with better numbers, or should we ICly pursue empowering/replacing it and making a fresh request?

The latter method, doing the strengthening IC is better. Context on what was requested and what's being upgraded matters too.

Are the master scout crafted essences supposed to work on monk gloves? In the abyss today, tried auricular essence on my character and gloves and got the must be used on a melee weapon error.

They do, or at least did last time I had any to use a season ago.

I think what you encountered may have been one of those one-off glitches, because I get those occasionally also when I try to use any weapon buffs while wearing gloves but wielding no held weapon. Then other times the same thing I use will work just fine. It's all very weird.

I'll make a bug report it anyway, just in case there is something that can be done to fine tune the system.

Pretty sure that I recall using them successfully on Kwalu before. And I'm fairly sure that you must use it on your character itself for it to work on gloves. Using it directly on the gloves generates an error, IIRC.

So, for a level 2 Master Scout with the Survival Gear Crafting thing, I noticed that the first time I used it, the menu showed Potions and Bombs. But since that first time, even across resets, I only have access to the Potions section. Is this supposed to happen?

DAE get other PCs showing up in their house when they're server hopping? Like, you're chilling in your house, and another PC appears for like 3 seconds then blips away? Just me? Have you ever been the PC appearing in someone else's house?

That's actually quite common. They blip in for a moment before getting ported to the entry/travel agency. The reason is that they logged off in the area that used to be their house, swapped servers for a while, then came back. By that time, your house is in place of theirs, and so they poof into your house momentarily.

Some areas, like rental houses or ambush maps in Khem or the UD, feel like they are just created for you, but they are regular areas and there are only so many of them.

Fun fact: It used to be (and I would guess still is) possible to wait in ambush maps for the next player. Though it can take a while until someone ends up in the same location. But we have 8 hour resets, so ...

I saw that happen once or twice. You get bombs at level 3 I think, or something. I think it was my MS 1 level and I had all the options, then I went into the menu again and only had the essence option.

Carpenters can make combat dummies (among other things)! Otherwise no, to my knowledge nothing creates the actual archery target PLC. It'd be something you'd have to request.

Thanks, so either spend 1 DC on a prop or buy one for 100,000gp from an occasional traveling salesman? Got it... or just use a combat dummy! Might be nice to have a practice range! Can't we have these things on sale some place.... archery?

Had a quickie. I'm a 'small' race, kobold, and I shift when I fight. I also have some monk levels and am quarterstaff proficient.

Thing is, while I can use 1k faces and then equip a quarterstaff, and then shift into my other forms/cast/do whatever from there and be kohser, the moment I shift back into regular kobold form im in hyper rule violation because i'm using a large weapon while small.

I was wondering if I could get a pass on having to middle-man my weapon for this specific instance, and just walk around with my 'large' staff on my kobold. It's not like he can swing it for anything in base form anyway, with 8 strength and like +21 to hit. I'd say it's different then monkey-grip because I can just 1k faces into a drow and use it w/o a penalty anyway.

Basically what im asking is if anyone would really be 'THAT' offended if I just didn't shift into a 'bartender' before a fight and just had a stick out all the time.

1k faces is bugged on kobolds so I can only use the "preset's" anyway, meaning bartender/house-guard etc. I think it's stupid to have to do, particuarly since im not even 'swinging' the weapon, just using it to look cool.
