I have been having problems and I am quite sure I will never figure it out. So hopefully someone else will be able to help me. I have a lower end machine
1.0 GHZ Celeron Processor
512 RAM
256 Video GeForce FX 5500
I have all of the latest drivers, but my computer tends to freeze every now and then, but if I go to the area with the bandits (north of the trolls on Bmia) my computer freezes permanently on the other end of the sign that transports you. Any ideas?
So far that is the only area that I have had problems with that makes the game unplayable. All my settings are turned all the way down, and I used to run NWN fine on a machine that has worse state than this with no problems at all.
So lets here it from all of you computer experts out there.

My backup comp (which I've been using the past few days while my main comp is in the shop getting repaired) is running about the same specs and I don't have a problem anywhere in Amia or Bmia.
Try re-installing NWN?

1. update your graphic drivers
2. do a critical rebuild of NWN
3. remove everything from your override folder and check if that causes issues
4. pull your NWN graphics settings to a minimum and see if that helps
Everything has already been done (that you mentioned) and it also studders when I do a fresh install of the game and try it on single player. No idea what can be causing it. I suppose that I will just wait till my income tax comes in and I will buy another computer. Hopefully that will help me out a bit. Thanks

That sounds like a bad graphics card. Perhaps you can try to see if you can get a cheapo one somewhere? NWN doesn't really need anything fancy, I bet you can get a new GPU for about $30 that will do the trick.
