Alright, with all the talk about the extremely high inflation rates and worthlessness of gold coins and the likes, I've come up with a player solution to help remove some gold coins from the player market. Kampos has fighting chickens, I'm willing to run a fortnightly or monthly gambling fight night for a maximum of 16 players. My suggestion is simple: You place a 4,000gp bet on either the defender or hostile chicken -500gp goes to Kampo (250 for the chickenfight, 250 for his own profit) -250gp is kept by the person running the fights (or distributing it evenly amongst several runners, it's not a large profit) -The other 3250gp goes into a jackpot that's divided to all the winners of the fight. Calculations: If you lose, you lose 4,000gp. If you win, you have a chance of making some profit: For example 16 people bet (which means there's 52,000gp in the jackpot). 8 bet on chicken A, 8 bet on chicken B. chicken B wins, the 52,000 is divided by 8 the winners and they get their 6,500gp reward. 5 bet on Chicken A and 11 Bet on Chicken B. Chicken A wins, all the winners get 10,400gp. 13 people bet on Chicken A and 3 Bet on chicken B. Chicken A wins, all the winners recieve 4,000gp back. Basically if it's equal bets on either side, the profits will be low. If there's more bets on one side then the other then the profits will be high. If there's too many bets on one side then one side will become extremely rich whilst the other due to the mass number of voters will lose gp. It's not the best thought out idea but atleast a small amount of gp's leaving PC pockets and going into NPC hands. Because people will cause trouble and try to skimp out on their bids, cause a huge fuss or just be an utter arsehole cry baby I'd need a DM to supervise/run this with me. Would anyone take interest in this idea? |

I think the idea itself is quite nice, however it will do little to the problem itself, unless you take all of the gold you have left over and dump it in a trash can. Otherwise it's just gold changing hands. Of course, this isn't addressing the problems that animal huggers, guards, and the head developer might have with the idea of chicken fighting. |

I'm armed with a fryer for when the wrath of Disco comes. That being said, I'm an honest player and I'll dump a portion of gold away. That's why I suggested a DM help me with this coz then the gp's taken away for good and can be distributed via the "give gold" functionif people don't trust me. |

I have a chicken obsession, but it shows in ways that are sometimes lethal to the chicken itself. I made those fighting hens, so I can't say I take much offense in people using them. Good idea! Doesn't deal with the problem, as Neus said, but I guess it's fun nonetheless. Maybe I can take a look at it and add some option where you can let Kampo spawn your own private chicken (at 1000 GP, of course). |

I like the idea of betting on the chickens I've done so often, but one thing has come to my notice, the chichen near the gong as good as always seems to loose. It just doesn't seem to react for the first few seconds (maybe it's just me). I do like buffing the chickens and make epic chicken fights. |

Surely though, the Black Caravan is going to destroy Kampo's too? |

Ther is nothing "illegal" about the Cock fights at Kampo's so you won't have worry about any guards. Disco has stated his love/hate obsession for the featheryfighters so you won't face his wraith. You must though be prepared for the tree huggin', Amian animal rights activist. i say set up a diversion to get them away from the event. Spread a rumor of the last mating couple of some endagered species in the farthest reaches of Brogendenstien is in danger of being trampled by giants. Perhaps set loose a stone golem or maybe a shield gaurdian in a nearby forest to randomly uproot trees. That should keep them busy enough and out of your hair. Oh and personal fighting chickens is the best idea ever! Well maybe not ever, but I for one will definitely shell out hard earned coin for a chucken with my name on it and good idea by the way, sounds fun |

I have a sollution for the animal lovers. We'll get Roman on them! Make the arena at Kampo's larger and when they show up. We subdue them, throw them in and unleash Disco's chicken of doom on them! |
