Ok, so, after a couple of years of playing on Amia I really want to make the head/hand files work. I've downloaded the files, downloaded a (un)zip program and now I'm completely f'ing lost. I'm hoping someone can help me, either here or through PM's.

P.S. I am as computer illiterate as they come.

Right, so you know where your zipped head/hand files are, right? Then you only need to know what path your NWN installation is at. This is easy if you have a desktop symbol for NWN. Just right click it -> properties -> look at target for the path to find it. Keep that page open, if you have to.

Next, you double click the first zipped file, select all the files inside of the archive and click extract. It will prompt you to specify a folder. Now navigate to your NWN\Override\ folder and extract the files in there. Then repeat the procedure with the second zipped file.

In the Override folder, there now should be many small files called pfaX_handXXX.mdl and so forth. You can quickly check in-game if it worked by making a new character and looking at the hands. Note that if you left the game open prior to extracting the files, you will have to restart it.

Well I appreciate the help, I was able to get the hands file in there, but not the heads.

There's really no difference between the two files, except that HandModels.zip is a zip archive and Heads.rar is a rar archive. Any decent unzipper should be able to open both of them, and the process of extracting the many files that are inside the archive to the specified folder is identical.

What didn't work?

just extract the files to

C:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\override

or if you install it on a none default drive, then change the letter, for example mine is

D:\NeverwinterNights\NWN\override

should be that easy
