Post subject:  Shifter Question for DMs

In a DM event, is it possible for a shifter to assume a temporary one-time unique shift, specifically a complete copy of another creature, with their permission.

I've never personally seen such allowed. You *can* purchase unique shifts for 25 DCs apiece, as per a custom polymorph. But, in so far as I know, being able to shift into a creature requires quite a bit of study of the creature in question.

I don't see why not, if there's a reason for it to happen. It would be a simple DM given skin change, though.

Depends on the DM Event, and the DM Running it. IF it was just for the duration of -that- event, and requsuite RP was involved, I'd probably allow it.

Yeah I dont see why a DM could not grant you a temp shapechange for a event, I dont see how its diffrent then say a person using a PnP spells like talk to animals and such.

that being said, I dont think I have ever needed to ask for a temp form in a event, I could allways work something around with what I had, but the option would be nice if needed.
