Post subject:  character tattoo colors

I was at a tattoo artist NPC and I was trying to change the color of my chars tattoo but it has the colors cashed as a different name than they normally are it seems, since I tried entering in blue and black and it didnt change either color.

Anyone know the cashed names for the colors?

Be careful with tattoos as they're also your eye and lip colours.

Only on certain heads though.

I've found most heads do it. Well, most female elf heads anyway (they're the ones I'm usually playing).

It's nothing a trip to Kampos won't fix though. I think it costs 400 gp to change the colors.

I'd be interested how tattoos are actually prevalent in the FRs. I imagine in some remote, tribal regions like the jungles of chult or deep forests with wild elves and such they'd be more present than in the classic medieval nations like Cormyr.

I see more and more PCs with various tattoos on their skin or scales, just curious myself.

It's a 'cool' thing. Tattoos instantly make someone look cool and mysterious and exotic, so that's why we put them on our characters.

In canon seriousness, you're probably right. Tattoos also see heavy use in magically oriented circles, especially in the Mulhorandi and Mulan regions, due to the prevalence of the tattoo'd Red Wizards of Thay.

Anyone played Torment? if not play Torment then you will get the idea of how Tats and DnD are suposed to work (exept they are more permanante in DnD that the vid game Torment)

Its a Plane Scape setting set in City of Sigil. And if i see anyone called Morte after this post i will smite.

100g to change either color, remove or add new ones... though whats nice at kampos is you can add a tattoo just to the right forearm or left forearm, instead of it being both etc.
