Hi just some QU about Possible areas being added to the server.

Firstly my red wizard cabal is working hard in RP to build our enclave somewhere in Amia, we are taking up trade's researching magic and building furnishings gathering stone, marble, ore and have a fully set out blueprint, as well as screen of the area we wish to convert, and are continuing to develop the RP for sizing the Area up wear to place things ideas for building Golems and other such things required inside the Enclave.

I even sent a letter to the Dm staff asking about this in "summery" but without any of the Job system progress and will update the request ASAP, i hope that it will be consider as time moves on but we will continue RP to Develop the necessary Raw materials and trades to build such.

Now assuming that Our request is eventually granted and we can add our Enclave or "underground" facility into the Server i have a few QU.

1. Can i make a "Base" Area the same size as the area we wish to modify that has nothing in it but the room's and furnishing's ( no scripting at all unless authorised to do so)

2. if i am aloud to create the Pre-fab for the Enclave are there rules for building such as areas size and placable per Grid, or base areas scripting that must be applied to it, if there is could i pleas have a copy so i can make the area to the Server Guidelines

3.If i cant make a Pre-Fab, can i do up Screen shots of a PRe-Fab and a General outline of what is required for the "builder" to develop or change. ( note he can change my pre-fab i don't care lol)

4.IF i am aloud to build the Pre-Fab i would like to Request the Area we wish to modify dimensions and anything else i might need to make sure i dont make it to big or to small.

The mage building golems should report to a DM for XP stripping. MAking golems is expensive.

That said? Too early.

More than a couple of months of activity is needed for any areas to be build for a faction.

I had a faction for two years. The faction was pretty active in the first four or six months and yet I could not have an area because they needed to make sure that the number of players would stabilize or increase ~before~ giving a full area. And that activity would not die down.

It was good that they never gave me an area even though we had around 30 players in our Off Site forums, some 20 of those members and allies alike.

After some months, the faction started dying down because the players started losing interest.

You will need a very active leader if you want a faction to stay alive. It might mean that for a long time the best course of action will be the leader having only one active PC to keep the show rolling, to recruit, to be in the middle of conflict. Take our resident lich as an example.

There will be months of sudden and constant activity, others where the activity will decrease to a point you might be the only one playing... but these are the risks of making a faction on Amia and leading it. Most important is that you, as the leader, do not lose interest yourself.

People will hardly have only one PC they play. They will usually have more than one and, with time, one of the alternates might start having a more interesting life.

I speak from previous experience, since when I led my faction I had more than one active PC and many times the alternates would have a more interesting life, more interesting activity, than my factional leader PC.

One important thing to keep in mind: focus on roleplaying, have the thought of an area be in the back of your mind, do not make it one of your priorities to find an area. Instead, make your priority stablishing your faction and the RP it might bring first. And not only the RP between you and your faction members, but the RP you might bring to the server as whole.

((I am writing this from work, by the way. So, pardon broken argument and grammar.))

Hi Thank for your advice i really appreciate it and many of my friend's and such have advised similar thing;s however, we have been playing as faction for around four months now, our numbers gave grown and stabilised somewhat but i know this will change over the course of time, i will of couse continue to i play valkin as my most prominent character

i constantly make posts for the cabal as well continue to summarise Lore & refine the rules and such of the faction i role-play with at least 2-6 Red wizards everyday, doing Trayning lessons and advancing plots that we are working on together, now im not saying i demand we have this place i amm just saying that three mouths is alrady up we have a good player base a intersting rules, history, lore, and lots of ongoing interesting RP already, in-fact the Circle of Five is composed of 4 of us who are good friends now and play 2 set's of characters together and chat casually, and we have joined with the HOA sharing there base and developing thing's with them and using there forums we are still waiting to have that forum renamed i believe to symbolise this.

if you interested in finding out feel free to do up a red wizard id be happy to show you around and i am certain if you like casters that given some time you would really enjoy the experience.

Now having jabed on like that for to long now is there any chance i might find out about my other questions, if you wear a DM i could happily show you all the hard work done on the HOA forums and our old Forums to symbolise our committed RP and IC/OCC level of organisation, we are ready and will wait long again if we must, however i wish to have everything set so the day i am given the chance to i have everything reayd and perfect.

Sounds like you just need to keep trucking at what you're already doing. Expecially good to have a DM watch RP towards making plan on construction or seeking where to set a enclave and why. Screenshots are dandy as well. The more you keep providing and stick to it is what will keep increasing your chances to see the enclave made real in the module.
