Do these include the fix for the masked head that gets replaced by some horned sot?

I just copied the links buried in the things to change threat, as people can never find them/don't bother looking. :P Got to ask the one who made the pack about the details.

They still need fixing, though there's nothing to stop people using them for now, until the final release with the fixes.

Yea, since a lot of people use them anyway, you get a lot of questions about headless people. Few people read things to change.

Could yo please put a caution that they're not finished and some are still dodgy? Attention: Updated headpacks! kind of screams 'download me', and makes one assume that they're 100% ready.

If they are 100% ready I apologise and I'll remove this post to not scare people :P

I would like to wait until it's really done myself before I download it.

I was expecting that there would be an announcement, coming from the team, that they're officially supported in Amia with the sidebar being updated once it's done.

Oops, missed a zero, I fixed it. Proofreading is always easier when someone's quoting you :D

But yes, I would prefer to simply be informed when they're ready and have the link updated so I can use them freely.
However, a question - I hear we can't get them at character creation, and have to bug a DM to change them. Can the ACM do this? Or did I hear wrong?

Until I see this as a DM officialized final, I'll suffer the occasional headless.

if it's a new head from the packs, it's possible the head might not be right. If an old head from the official Amian head files, then your PC's head should be fine.

Mahtan, Phearnun and Selvac all volunteered to work on the heads with Mahtan doing a large portion of the work. He's semi here and will send the heads he's finished altering to either me or another volunteer to work on the broken neck syndrome of the heads not sitting properly.

Patience is begged for this please since it's harder than it looks. T.T

It shouldn't do. Still, better to wait until it's finished IMO.

It's not offically released yet, you jumped the gun Zante. There was to be an offical annoucement made and the pack in the sidebar was to be updated. Those are not completed, contain bugs, and should not be used yet.

I'd suggest you take down the links and change the topic name.

Perhaps taking down the links is a little overzealous, but adding warnings that it is not yet complete would be most appreciated.

Methinks the fact that the majority of the posts on this thread talking about it being not complete is quite the warning :D

Updated the topic title and first post... I know these aren't the final releases yet, still, I was forced to download them as every third person I ran into was missing a head.

I tested these current four (Human male/female, Elf male/female) and didnt notice any mistakes. However, seeing there are a lot of heads I could have overlooked something, so it would be good if another person or even two would go through the current list to be sure.

Best to use the old Headpack References when doing so.

Edit:
- female elf head 038 is missing the coloring apparently.

I think someone said that some were deliberately set at a number unreachable on creation, so only a number of them require being changed by the ACM/DM.

Then again, I also heard that the ACM doesn't allow a head change any more, but I haven't checked so I wouldn't know.

Dunno..in the pack that Mahtan released there were some missing from the original PR heads that I was saddened over. Like the almond-eyed girl with the hair down instead of the bloody bun. Meh.

If its the one I think you are talking about, its female head 199.

And if there is heads that are not in that you really wanted then send them to me. I put ones in that I and only I liked that seemed good for the servers PCs and NPCs.

I will re-upload them with the fix to the humans 143 head so we don't have the hooded heads broken. If you want exact heads in there, send them now.

And for an update. I am just going to finish the hin as I have now. Most of them are not even different than what we already have, or are human and elf heads put on a hin body. Then close this to be made official. If someone else wants to make the Dwarf, Half-orc and gnome heads they can do it.

Just curious as I liked the head that was on 143. Can I still use it or do I have to wait until it gets changed to a new number and get it again then?

Just wondering or did my char just end up losing her head over this >>

Head 143 was a hooded head that was added in the second expansion I was un aware of. The 143 head has been relocated to a later number. I think in the case for females its 198.

So the horned head that glitched to 143 has been moved to 198?

or did I missunderstand.

As I currently got the 143 head for the fact of the horned head. That is my issue. I just want to know where it has been moved (what number exactly), so I can get it corrected.

Yes 143 the horned head is moved to 198 so it doesn't conflict with the hooded heads.

I'm finsihed with working on it.

All the humand and elf heads, major problems fixed and packaged into one download.

The Hin heads are all just children heads, ones we already have, or anime and furry heads. Which I do not see the reason to include. I don't have the time to finish all the races.

But these are all the ones you'll need to get rid of all the headless people that had been using the betas. Someday maybe I'll get back to the other races, but looking through them, the majority were already in our headpack.

It is done. Its not being worked on anymore. Disco will just need to add it to the big pack on the site downloads. I don't have the ability to do that.

So, though I know it was asked somewhere, just as a reminder, do these automatically overwrite/add on to the headpack we already have, or do we need to delete what we already have, and only then put this in? I've completely forgotten.

And for anyone who maybe doesn't know, an instruction of what to do with the file might help them.

The first one, from what I know it updates and over rides what we already have, but that is because the files that are being added to the over ride folder are already within the folder. Meaning it contains the old heads and the new heads.

If i am mistaken please correct me.

It does not overwrite stuff but it will ask you to overwrite stuff when you place it in the folder, the reason is because it contains the old heads as well as the new heads afaik. At least this is my thinking.

Aka:

A will replace A, which, A = A

Those are old heads your already using. You don't see a change. An overwrite here is redudant and harmless.

B will create B, as B is a new head. Here you see a change. An overwrite here will not happen.

This Head Pack does not include the heads of the standard amia pack, but the new additional ones. Hence it will only overwrite heads if:

1. You play on another server and/or downloaded additional heads next to the standard amian ones.

2. You already downloaded the new ones when the version was not yet final, and hence those which overlap are overwrite them.

That's odd, because it's asking me to overwrite and I've neither 1) nor 2).

This edition DOES have heads that overwrite amian ones, because ALL I've had for heads, was the original amian one, and I have NOT downloaded a beta of this new group. But it asked me to overwrite several files when I just installed it.

Yes, Seems I failed and included Amias heads in it as well. I think it was because some are exactly the same only have fixed models and better textures.

The important thing is it will not make people suddenly have different heads, unless they were using heads off another pack.

If it is indeed going to replace the original amia head pack at some time, it seems to me that it would be a boon to have the original amia head pack included in it, no?

Will the axis issue ever be looked into or will those heads simply not be included in favor of the ones that don't need to be lowered/raised/scooted/etc?
