So far I only heard from other players that you need to make a request now just to Rp having a tail, wings, or anything the like, without actually having the visuals.
So my question is, is that really true? And if yes, is it also true that anyone who had tails, wings, and such this way before somehow lost them or never ever had them?
Mind, I only heard so from other players, and this seems very strange to me. I also couldn't find this rule in the announcements section (That also could just mean I am blind)
And if that rule truely passed, is the grandfather clause exempt from it, in other words if you had a character with such a feature would you retain it or would you somehow loose it?

I could understand that.

Because a DM accidentally made a wrong call. It's been corrected and now it's being corrected here. We've always allowed people to RP wings/tails without purchasing the features: Otherwise Avariel would have simply been a 50 DC request race (or 30 or what have you) and it isn't.

And of course playing an Avariel or other winged race needs a request, even though it can be done without spending DC:s for the visual wings, I understand.
Clarifying upon clarifying, makes misunderstandings rare.

Still, as for the OP, it's a bit of nitpick blasphemy on being reasonable to have a set of wings or a tail. Unless you're PC is hallucinating extra limbs... Hmm...

Well, there is a difference imho between a tail and wings. Wings in itself give a mechanical advantage (The ability to fly) while a tail is merely good for.. eh.. nothing really.

Well, ... a tail is merely good for.. eh.. nothing really.
Tails are extremely useful. They provide extra balance and if you're one of the lucky few species, it's prehensile.... meaning you get to use it like an extra hand... well, a hand with only one finger, but you can grab things and hold on to them with your tail.
I really wish I had a tail... it would be awesome.
