I'm doing some research for a future character project involving mylocks. Problem is, it seems mylocks are unique to amia servers.
Anyone have any lore they can offer about these monsters?
All I know is that they moo. And they look like robot minotaurs.

The only information on them that I've seen made available is that they are decedents of a Amia unique race known as "Myrats". The Myrats were an ironskinned giant race. The Myrats were a peaceful race and were enslaved, forced in to slave work and experimented on. The experimentation resulted in the Mylocks, as well as the lives of all the female Myrats, assuring the Myrats extinction.
You'll have to get DM input for anything more.

Nothing on the wiki, and I didn't find anything on the rules and lore page. Maybe I suck at finding

You're not going to get a mylock approved as a PC, sorry. I'll just save you the time and tell you that now. They're not suitable as PCs, they are tribal monsters with a culture that completely defies the ability to make "Adventurers".

Gee thanks Tormak, what would I do without your infinite wisdom.
If something isn't suited for adventuring then there's zero chance that a single one of the thousands of generations of such monsters would fail to ever become anything more than their forefathers.
I should just forget all PC requests entirely, for if something hasn't been done before, why bother doing it?
That seems to be the consensus around here. 16 hard earned DCs and years of rp apparently means I'm just another schmuk
Maybe I should just be like everyone else and blow my DCs on making a winged tailed dragon/demon/tirfling or something

You're selecting things that simply aren't suitable as player characters. Some things just aren't.

According to...
Just because -you- don't think they're suited for anything doesn't mean they can't be aptly rped. Maybe my mylock -is- in fact tribal and has an aversion to territory, not wanting to get out and adventure. Maybe I'll never get him passed lvl 8 or so, simply because he doesn't travel all that often. Should that stop me from playing him?

Forget it Tormak. God forbid anyone does anything against the grain around here.
