I'm just a wee bit puzzled about the skin colour of Shadovars.
Are they meant to have a tinge of gray, be paler, or just normal? I've had lots of differing opinions and would adore some confirmation, as I was planning on making one a skin colour number would be preferred.

Well, I found this on the net :
Shadovar resemble gaunt humans of average height. The most obvious feature is their near-ethereal aura of shadowstuff, gathering about them like a heavy fog, blurring their features in tendrils of smoke. The darker the environment is, the more insubstantial the Shadovar become, and a host of innate abilities becomes available to them. In bright light, the Shadovar resemble nothing more than a pale human, their powers all but useless.
So, I guess the skin color would depend on the amount of light in the environment. I'd recommend the default skin color for human and then if you want you can RP the skin tone changes. Hope that helps.

The above information is most likely false. Shadovar don't have special powers, they're normal humans, as far as I know.
I'll see if I can find anything. Races of Faerûn is silent on the matter.

Yea, I did find it strange that it mentioned special abilities and what not. I think the above text was maybe referring to Shades. As I understand Shades do have some special abilities (don't know what they are really, apart from the slowed or completely stopped aging process).
Anyway, as I don't have all the fancy books my only source is the internet. One site that is quite reliable on these matters in my opinion is the Candlekeep site. And it says that most of the Shadovar people are regular plain old humans with no special abilities. More info here

I'd rely on that article, thanks for the link! Sean K Reynolds has worked on several D&D products, including the FRCS. And now that I look closer at it, the article is in fact WotC-published and only copied to Candlekeep. It's canon.

Yeah, I stumbled across the Candlekeep article before actually.
I'm gonna go ahead and think that they don't look hugely differant or have much special about them, an article that can go into details on a races preferred clothing would surely mention it if they had anything out of the ordinary about their appearance.
I mean, maybe they're slightly paler than the bog-standard human, but not by any huge amount or anything outside of the regular variation of normal human skin colour.
See all them big words, I done good with them

Check out the book of vile darkness I think I read about shades of shadovar there or perhaps it was campaign settings, it's a template applied to a character, but the process to making one is known only known by the higher ups.
I think it gives you a +4 ecl, and a host of crazy powers, that only work in the dark. Stuff like increasd speed, SR in line with drow, etc
The leader of the city, and his 12 sons, are all shades I think.
