The next time you check in the requests forum, take a quick gander up at the top of the page and notice the new subforums in there. We've got a subforum now just for rebuild requests of all sorts, and a subforum jsut for leto requests only. The current requests will gwt sorted out in the public forums, but any nw requests should be placed in their respective subforums if necessary.

"standard" requests will still be placed in the main forum, for things like items, summon reskins, etc etc. The subforums are specifically for letowork and for rebuilds, to help separate out these two big outliers in requests, from the meat and potatoes of the requests forum.

Just to humor ignoramuses like me, could you be more specific about what constitutes "Leto work"? I know voiceset changes fall under that category, since I've requested a couple, but we n00bs would appreciate a bit of elaboration. :)

Leto work is any modification to a character that can't be done in game or by importing an item from the toolset.

Letowork:

Voicesets
Portraits
Limb modification (removing a hand, adding a bone arm)
Permanent Limb Changes (permanently adding dragon legs or tiefling hooves to the naked form, etc)
Domain changes

Things of that nature.

Interestingly, when I am in one of the Amia > Players (OOC) subforums and I click on Players (OOC) to look at the list of subforums again (in order to choose another), I see the four subforums listed but above them I also see the contents of the Request forum subforums (ie. all topics in Leto & Rebuilds). It looks sort of like this...

Quote:
Amia > Players (OOC)

Self rebuild -- Charles1810
Voice set removal -- 13ROSES
Portrait change -- Ottmizacha
Self rebuild: Domovoi -- ticket

General Discussion
Requests
Improving Amia
Off Topic

I see this on two different computers (one at home and one at work). Anyone else having a similar issue? It appears to show all of the Request subforum topics, not just those four, and it doesnt matter if they've been read or not.

I think it may have something to do with the view format - I usually use the one that doesn't show the sidebar... Subsilver mini? Will check that later.

Does the same for me if I actually click those Players (IC) or (OOC) links. It will show all the Subforum topics then the other forums at the bottom.

Only reason Mobile doesn't show it is because those links are gone.

I noticed it with the Requests forum, but the Auctions subforum doesn't do it for Players (IC), for me. Probably just a little bug somewhere, or an unticked box!

They forgot to mark the permissions that you can't read topics in those overheard (Players OOC) forums. That's why the others are fine - the topics are there, but you don't have permission to see them.

Post subject:  Re: Requests forum, subforums

maybe instead of the request forums with the Leto sub-forum with the blerb "Post Leto requests here!" put what leto stuff is to go there like

"Leto requests-Voicesets,Portraits,Limb modification,Domain changes...ect"

that would make it much more clear to people what Leto is and where the quest should go.

Can someone screeny what exactly are you seeing? It appears fine to me...

This is better handled in stickies and announcements. It's quite a long list and those descriptions take up space.

Edit: Ahh, now I see it... didn't think anyone actually uses those links, since they're there just to keep the structure up.

Auctions doesn't show them, are you sure? I see topics from every subforum and the settings are identical.

A quick glance shows that these are all the new posts in the requests subfora. :?

I figured it'd be easier to just show you with these!

Players (IC) - Doesn't show the subforum's (Auctions) "Active Topics", but has a Permissions warning at the bottom. Also, has the forum's category link in big print beneath the forums in said category.

Players (OOC) - Show's the subforum's (Leto/Rebuilds) "Active Topics" and has no Permissions warning. Also doesn't have the forum's category link anywhere in big print - only the small links.

It's a group permissions thing, yeah, not with the forums per se. Well, at least I know where to dig now, thanks. We only have about a zillion different user groups to look through otherwise!

Any progress on this?

All the permissions appear to be as they should be. Do you see the same as Koragi, Xavi? Or do you get previews from Players IC forums, too?

Is everyone else seeing this?
(and yess too lazy to resize)

Oh and I don't see anything in the players (IC) fora - just players (OOC)

Post subject:  Re: Requests forum, subforums

So you get the same "don't have permissions" for Players IC? I'm a bit puzzled by this as it's all identical and I didn't find anything from Koragi's group permissions that would explain it.

Edit: I think I found it now.

I still don't know why some could see all of it and others just parts, so there's some other bug somewhere, but alas.

Seems to be working for me, provided there are about a dozen in each subforum.

At this point it seems to be back to normal for me, i.e. it's not showing the contents of the Requests subforums unless I actually go and look there, which is as it should be.

Thanks, Nekh!
