I'm not a computer guru and have only muddled my way through about a 1/8 of the forum, so was hoping somebody might point me to a relavent thread that has this issue addressed?

I downloaded the required files to my computer and have succeeded in getting in game and playing. My son also created a character on his own profile on my computer and has played as well. (Kudos on a well developed world BTW.)

The issue is this: We downloaded the required files to my daughter's laptop and my son cannot log on from that machine. When he logs, he shows up for about 3 seconds in the starting area and receives a messgae that says "Player Booted" or something similar. Any ideas or threads to point me to?

That's a roblem with the server. Has he played amia before on another computer? He'll need to play a new character untill a DM can authenticate his CDkey.

Does your daughter's machine have different CD keys than yours?

Because if it does its part of the amian security feature

Yes there is a different CD Key on both machines due to our purchase of two copies of NWN. I'll double check and ensure the same key was not used for install though. Very good points I did not consider. I'll post back here after I confirm.
