Any one know how to create a short cut from desktop to amia? I use to use one with with stormplay and aertheca, but can remember how it was done. You avoid the loudest atari intro known to man that way(cant tell you how many times I have gotten out of bed for some late night leveln, and forgot to plug in head phones and mr atari load in sound bite has ruined any chance after waking my girlfriend.

Make a shortcut to nwmain.exe (contained in your NWN folder) on your desktop, and add +connect 84.243.255.52:5121 to the target to log into Amia A directly. For Amia B, replace the last digit with 2.

i pasted your link after the .exe in the target and it says "not valid" I put it in just like you typed, in fact i just copy/paste, also tried removing space between connect and 8

Should look like that, or similar, depending on where you installed NWN.

Okay, sooooo
I just used this and after entering the 'lobby entrance' of Server A I was immediately ported to Amia Forest at the Crystal Node... what?
I haven't logged in with this character all day, so I dunno?
Anyone else have an issue like this?

You must have since the last reset, because its not the shortcut. Just tried it.

Nope, first time logging in today with this character. Cordor is his home location on A and server just reset a few minutes before I go online, too.
Just a glitch, then, I assume. I -think- it happened once before lol

It has happened to me several times, getting ported to a random location instead of start location. The worst was Tarkuul, when none of my characters had ever gone to Tarkuul before.

I dunno if it has anything to do with the link. First time it happened I didn't even know this trick existed. This time was probably a fluke. About to find out, though!

Yeah, it has nothing to do with the direct connect shortcut. That would be impossible.
