I have a few noob questions about the creation and use of potions, wands, and scrolls. 1. When creating one of the three, is the caster level on the item based off of the caster level of the creator at the time of creation or something else?
2. If for instance you have a 10 wiz/ 20 AA with 20 base intelligence, and you have an item that gives a bonus tier 9 spell slot, can you scribe a scroll of Shapechange?
3. When using a wand or scroll, does it take into account your required attribute modifier? For example, you are a druid with a 10 wisdom modifier and you use a wand of Call Lightning. Will the DC be 10 higher than someone with a 0 wisdom modifier?
3.5. Same question but with spell focus feats. You have spell focus evocation and use the Call Lightning wand. Will you have a 2 higher DC than someone without it?
4. Does the Book of Transmutation work with spells cast from one of the three? For example, the wizard that created a flame weapon potion changed the spell using the BoT to cold prior to casting it on the bottle. When someone drinks the potion, will it grant fire or cold damage? What if the drinker uses the BoT?

Um, Cant answer em all, cause I've never gone through all the craftings yet, but I do know they go of CL at time of creation, and that a BoT does not effect a potion/wand you are about to drink. (or, at least im pretty sure it doesn't)
Frankly I've been curious about several of these myself.
A little help guys? >.>

1. Scrolls are always the level you aquire the spell at, not the level you scribe at. Wands, not so sure about, but the more levels of Wizzie you have the more charges the wand will have I think?
2. Yes, if you can cast it you can craft it.
3. No, the DC wont go by your modifier, and no again to the Spell Focus.
4. Nope, BoT can't alter spells cast from an item, unfortunately.

1) Scrolls, wands, and potions have a fixed caster level in the toolset, so the item created always uses the same.

A tentative thread about wand crafting specifically : viewtopic.php?f=2&t=39407&start=0The full list of craftable spells with their fixed caster level for scribe scroll / brew potion / craft wand, and crafting cost (Amia uses 75% of that figure) Crafting Cost and CLwith the caveat that a limited number of these entries have been previously reported as incorrect.

No. And if you can then it's broken. You can't learn from the scroll in the first place without enough Wizard levels to cast the spell. It's different for classes that start off with all the spells already there in their book, though... such as cleric.
