Soo.. I'm trying to make a new PC and when I get to the end of creation where you edit the appearance I see no character model o.o
I moved my override folder, same thing
I started a game in singleplayer, same thing

Tired it a bunch of times, just in case. No idea what's causing this. Searched the forums and couldn't find a reasonable amount of posts to sort through.. so here I am -.-

Also, I created a character about two months ago (I think) and had no problems. Also, nothing has changed since then

Well something has changed since then, even if you say nothing has. As the character wouldn't have disappeared. It's not an Amia or HAK issue, as it effects singleplayer as well as multiplayer.

Well, yah, I know that :p I just mean I haven't changed anything lol
I only touch NWN via overrides, but I eliminated those as the issue. Also stepped down all the graphics settings to the lowest and had the same result.

I just didn't know if there was a common issue that caused this, other than the ATI issues.
Also just pulled out all the ini files from the NWN root just in case there was something glitching in there.
No dice.

Oh well, I'm sure a reinstall will fix it. Don't want to bother with that crap today, though.
If anyone has a better idea and/or fix, please respond!

Does anyone else use your computer? Does it install automatic updates? What O.S. are you using?

I'm thinking Windows may have installed an automatic update to your drivers.

I'm the only person that uses this PC to do anything.
Hmm could have been auto updates, though not likely. I have my auto updates set to alert but not install so I should know what's going on with them.
Quick PC specs:

Win7 Pro 64bit
Core2Quad CPU
4GB RAM
8800GT GPU

I just checked my drivers and apparently they are the most current, though I went ahead and reinstalled the version I installed after putting Win7 on this machine. Looks like the same version as the driver version I saw before the reinstall, too
Just checked and same thing. Popped in game, though, and things look fine (thank God) lol
And it seems I have a second driver set, so trying that. No dice.
There's a new driver out, now, so... hmmm I think I might try that as well, just in case.

I Have A Solution!!!

Essentially, the issue is caused by the NWN Shader mod from NWN Vault. I thought that I had this issue before, but I couldn't remember.
I was 7zing my override folder in preparation for a NWN reinstall when I noticed the Shader folder in NWN. So I was like... 'Hey! Wait a sec!'

Yep, that causes it.
If you use the awesometastic NWN Shader and experience the problem I was having in character creation, move the following files from the NWN folder:
(folder) nwshader
(file) cg.dll
(file) cgGL.dll
(file) DevIL.dll
(file) dinput.dll
(file) EasyHook32.dll
(file) glew32.dll

All set!
