Can NWN be played on a Dell 600 laptop? If not, can it be upgraded to do so? If not, what unit is recommended? Also, someone here said that you can put NWN on a stick and use it on a laptop. How to do this? |

You need very low specs laptop to run NWN, really. I run it on a netbook easily, only the DM client gives me trouble. And well, my own impatience is the biggest obstacle, really. Netbook playing/toolsetting is frustratingly slow to someone who's used to high level hardware, but it's a matter of attitude. I know folks who run NWN on very low end desktops, too. |

Dell 600 is weak (assuming you mean the old one, and not something like the XPS 600), but since NWN runs on netbooks such as the eeePC, it should run just fine. NWN doesn't care jack shit about the windows registry so you should just be able to copy the installation directory to an external memory and play the game on any machine as long as you adjust the settings accordingly. I have not tried this on windows machines, but my NWN installation on Linux has been in use on at least three or four different computers, often from an external hard drive. If it doesn't work on Windows, just install USB-bootable Linux on a stick and install the game in there. |

I'm fairly sure it's the old one, it's a company issued unit. It's running Auto CAD 2007 right now, and mostly empty. The blasted thing is at home now, or I'd have the specs for you. |

I couldn't run it on high specification with a dual core. |

Installing NWN on your workissued PC could possibly be a bad idea and lead to you being fired though Just a friendly heads up |

It's work issued, but was privately owned previously. Our I.T. guy has his own business and got it for me, so I'm not too worried about those kind of locks or safeguards or whatever. I have windows XP Pro on it, does that change the way the stick is used? Sorry, i'm not up on all these trix of the trade. |

I played NWN on a Dell lappy with XP. Worked fine. This was...oh.,..two, three years ago now, so you should be all right. |

Runs horribly on my own netbook, and it's a decent model, too. D: |
