Simply put, would it be possible at the discretion of the DM staff, to do preludes for large groups of players who have organized before hand and to have them start in places other then Cordor/Alternately suggested places?

Might be possible, but it depends on what exactly you're requesting. Some DMs have run (or are still running) series of alternative beginning events.

Thank you!

I wasn't to sure, because the policy on players and preludes on alot of other servers of this magnitude are questionable and not very friendly. Really wasn't fond of the idea of making the request before knowing and having my head bitten off, very releiving to say the least. The request will be in the appropriate place on the forums once I have it fleshed out.

A tip: a general idea/outline is better than a detailed script. DMs are more likely to snatch an idea up if leaves plenty of room for improvisation and tweaking.

I think his question is actually "Will you script in a custom starting place for my group?"

The answer for that is "no, you can do thtat in game already with the portal wands."

Yeah, you might as well do it yourself. Not that hard.
The un-removable first bind of the wand should be removable, though...

It wasn't asking about "Scripting starting zones". That would be silly to ask for with how busy the DM's are. However I know of plenty of area's that have low level monsters and leyline nodes that are away from say, Cordor. The problem I forsee with the group however is that it wouldn't make much sense at all for a bunch of monsterous or evil races to get off a boat in Cordor, or even start close to an area where we will just be sniped off at an extremely low level by good PC's, even if we made a great effort to stay covert until our strength is gathered. And from a personal experience, while there is quite a few good sports on the server, there are also many would metagame then make up an excuse afterwards.

The only way for someone to effectively snipe you at a starting bind spot is if you log in fresh after a reset, like a good 10, 20 mins after a reset. As most people are either in their faction areas or just bound to the closest spot to bosses to get the early gun jump on other boss runners. Or they are a 30 monk with perma haste and a quadcore to power through the transitions.

And as an aside in exchange for reletive immortality it's kind of one of those things you have to endure simply because you choose to be a evil monstrous race.
