If you have to leave suddenly... you can simply click respawn.
But yeah, don't log off dead please. If you crash or your net goes thats fine.

Would it be possible to get the official ruling about respawning. I've always wondered, as I saw, hundreds of times, literally, people hopping servers and get raised in entry areas. I thought it might be against the rules, but i've wondered as i've seen several respected characters do it. If it's against the rules, perhaps we should know -officially-. I know it's "frowned upon", but if it's technically against the rules, I'd be glad to send screenies whenever I see someone do it. After all, we want an immersive environment where rules are respected, no? |

I always thought hopping servers to get free raises was against the rules, and that DM's deduct levels for it. But maybe thats just me being paranoid. |

It is against the rules. Serverhopping for raises is abuse of the game's OOC mechanics. First time we usually make you eat the respawn. Successive incidents will lead to levels being stripped, as well as gold. |

Just make sure they're actually breaking the rules and not just logging in dead because they logged out while dead and then reset hit, or something. |

It's generally easy to tell when someone does this. If they're glowing red in the entry and reset was more than five minutes ago, then it's pretty obvious. |

What about respawn hitting when your low on hp and due respawn the conbuffs wear off. Happend to me recently. |

To me that would be the same as the guy who repeatedly dies because he is near death and dies when taking off his helmet with CON on it. Either he loses a lot of gold and XP over and over again or he makes sure he has the HP to not die when going through gates. The only time it's out of a players hands is during a crash, otherwise it's lesson learned take the hit as it's not really fair to the majority of players who don't rely on the selflessness of players not trying to abuse an OOC feature of the game. |
