Good luck downloading the old hak, considering the page in which you used to download it from has been replaced.

I feel like I'm creating a sort of FAQ by myself.
Other questions could be:
Will this mesh with my overrides? Do I need to empty them now? Help! My cleric/CoT/HS/PDK is messed up! Things are different and I'm bad at coping with change. Where do I bring my pitchfork and/or torch to mob? Are there horsies now so we can recreate old spice advertisements? Are the new clothes open for everyone or just tailors? My CEP2 is fighting with your hak3, who do I bet on? ....

Good question! If something screws up override-related, it's up to you to get rid of the offending over-ride. We don't guarantee that all overrides will work with the HAK. Quote: Help! My cleric/CoT/HS/PDK is messed up! Think HS and PDK gets rebuilds for the changes, provided the kinks are out. CoT and cleric are still in the works, but won't require rebuilds, IIRC. Quote: Things are different and I'm bad at coping with change. Where do I bring my pitchfork and/or torch to mob? Frankenstein's castle is nice this time of year, or so I've heard. Quote: Are there horsies now so we can recreate old spice advertisements? For the 100 millionth time, no, we aren't putting horses in. Quote: Are the new clothes open for everyone or just tailors? Still under discussion, I think. But we might have opened things up some. I know most new stuff is regularly accessible. Quote: My CEP2 is fighting with your hak3, who do I bet on? .... HAK3 has a three inch reach advantage, 15 lbs., and a 3 match winning streak advantage on CEP2. So bet on HAK3.

Clerics and Divine Champions should be fixed sometime this afternoon. Though we're going to be using the old-fashioned Letoscript method to swipe off your old feats, so you're going to get booted once for each new domain or feat, unfortunately.

Now, the page said "no updates, one time download." Then it also said "its not complete yet."
So the question is... when you complete it, will I have to download it again? (Megabytes don't rain from the sky for some people.)

You mean " It's not 100% complete, but you get the picture." ?
It means the listing of what's in the hak isn't complete. Not the hak itself.

...Right theres all sorts of similarly named stuff in my hak folder, and I don't like having unneeded stuff taking up HD space...
I'm good to delete the old _v2.hak and the test v3_2.hak files? So I should only have the 7 files from the new download?
...and...I can delete all the head###.plt/.mdl files from /override?

Mind that no 2DA files that are already in the other HAKs can be overridden in this way. So in theory, yes. But you'll need to fire up the HAK editor first.

....Wait. Wait. What?
Idiots guide, please.
Let me try....
I go in the /utils folder. nwhak.exe. File>Open>Amia_Override.hak Resource>Add. All the head models in my override folder. Save.
...Now, I can delete all the head models in my override folder?

You will still want to hang onto those if you're going to roll a new character, but if you don't need to create a new character every day then you can clear out your override and only switch in the heads override when you need them.

Please help? I used the self installer to download the hak, though i'm guessing i'll need to resort to the 7zip file. Mostly just curious as to what went wrong. Quote: I have Windows XP and I don't bother about my download speed Self installer, 221 MB http://www.amiaworld.net/hak/amia_v3_hak.exe

I put ALL The .Hak files in the Hak folder. Because they're not used yet. I have to change all that in every area by hand.

What I did was when I DLed the Self installing one, I had the same problem, so I just moved the folder to the Desktop, opened it with WinRAR and extracted each file manually. Took 5 minutes after the 1 hour DL XD

Also the 7z archive we've pointed you at is the basic version. The optional extras require a bit more downloading., especially the music.

When I try to log in *after extracting the hak file to my override* it says i'm missing the custom tlk file, BUT there is one in the hak that i DL'd, but its separate from the hak itself, now I noticed there were tlk files in the Hak folder.
Is this where the tlk file goes? into the Hak folder of my NWN?

You need the amia_tlk_v3.tlk in the tlk folder. It's important you have the right version in there. Get rid of that old one. If you do not have that file in the archive you downloaded, try this link.

Hm. When the test download came out, part of it was amia_skyboxes.hak. 137MB. Today I've downloaded Amia_v3_Skyboxes. 5.44kb? Amia_Override has shrunk from 187MB to 440 bytes? Whats happened to that stuff?

The installer version may have an outdated tlk file.
