I downloaded the new haks and have no problem logging onto the server. I decided to make a new character, however, and I can't get past the 'Portrait' option. The game locks up and I get a pop-up error message saying 'Neverwinter Nights has stopped working. Windows is searching online for a fix' or some such nonsense. I do have a TON of portraits, and recently downloaded the newest portrait patch for Amia...but I've downloaded every portrait pack for Amia to date w/o issue. I have the same issue when creating a character offline.
Any ideas?

I would definitely say it's a size issue. I had that problem before. Moved all the portraits from my portraits folder to my override folder (except the portraits I myself use for my own characters) and I never had the problem again.

Yeah at about the 5 gig mark I noticed my portrait folder would make NWN have an annurism everytime I did a new pc but it never outright crashed. Might try this as well jus to unfuck everything portraity.

You only actually need portraits in your portrait folder for character creation. The ones that other players or you actually use can get dumped in your override folder.
