How do I make it work? I'm trying to choose a PLC for some RP stuff and I cannot open the accursed hak pack. I'm utterly useless at using the mod builder... what do I do?

1: Open up the Toolset
2: Make a new module, one small area is really all you need.
3: Go to the Edit tab at the top, then select Module Properties.
4: Go into the Custom Content tab.
5: Using the bar with the little downward pointing arrow, select your haks and add them in order: amia_v3_a, amia_v3_b, amia_v3_c, amia_v3_d. (Edit to add: Also the amia_v3_override file at the end)
6: Add amia_tlk_v3 into the Custom Tlk File bar.
7: Save the module and use the wizards to make things with the hak stuff.

many thanks... if it doesn't go well I shall return.

So. I followed the above steeps and all of the custom stuff appears in the Custom tab but none of the drop down menus listing the actual items show up... I have the catergories but not the 'thingies'.

You mean when you click the dropdown, the haks are not appearing?

no no, when I open the module editor I get a list under PLCs that has all of the catergories that the custom PLCs fall under(Military, Interior, etc...) but they are just catergory listings, I cannot expand them to see and select each individual item. The custom content PLC group is there in catergory only

Oh, right. That is just a category. Use the wizard to create the item (it doesn't really matter what category you use), and check the box that says Launch Properties Dialog., then click Finish.

The dropdown for Appearance Type gives you all of what you're looking for.

I'm going to blindly assume that it's not possible to activate Amia subraces on your own module... Or?

Nope, it's not, but you cna use the debug commands to add the ability score bonuses.

Is here any way we could see a test server in which people could build characters and check out what their character would look like in Amia, since it can be drastically different from non-Amia?

Look like appearance-wise or statistic-wise?

As in actual Amia; not just Haks, but also the scripts that change the classes, stats, summons, etc - on a module does not have a mutual vault with Amia A and B, so people could log onto Testy-Server, level up their character and see what their build will actually look like, export a file for LETO and not have to do rebuilds that could have been avoided if their SP build matched what their Amia version of the character would look like.

I would be absolutely pissed if they gave everyone free access to the serverside 2da, no thank you... That is asking for trouble.

No, that can't be done.

There is an Action Server that has an area like that, similar to the "Pretty Good Character Creator" module, but with all the server changes to make it easier to fine tune your build. So it is possible.

Yes, it's theoretically possible, but they won't make that stuff public.

I know it's possible. I was more asking if it would be done. It's not giving players access to much more than they already have access to except for time from their lives.

Yeah. Nobody was talking about something you'd download for yourself, so the issue is just reading comprehension.

Not that I personally care either way.
