Post subject:  Inserting that extra coin. (A recruitment thread)

So to get started on the soppy stuff, I have been suffering from demotivation and disinterest where nwn and amia are concerned lately, this has been due to my latest attempt at joining a faction dissolving in the first two weeks, sadly because a great player was presented with little choice but to take a break from the game for the foreseeable future. In those short weeks I really enjoyed my time in game and the feeling of having a purpose in game again was welcoming.

Inspired by my recent experiences I would like to have one last chance at some fresh and potentially strong RP before I consider taking a break from the game myself. In my last communications with the above player, we really wanted to attempt to create new characters based on the concept of cultists, particularly those who take favour in the denzeins of Limbo. I would like to invite interested European players willing to play wizards/sorcs and shifters of particular focus to join me in what will hopefully become more than a last ditch effort at faction/group game play for me. I would prefer newcomers to Amia over veteran players and Alts to encourage more consistent playing time and character commitment, but obviously welcome offers from anyone willing to give my pitch a proper go.

I realise I could approach this from an IC angle with recruitment in mind but my plot requires that the majority of players know each other prior to creation. Should you have any questions or have any comments about past cult-like factions or Limbo lore, please feel free to post. Should you like to put your name forward, send me a PM. The role of faction/group leadership is for the most part "open".

Thanks for the read.

Pardon for the interuption....

Come be a drow! Evil (Amia B in Edonil/L'Obsul) or good Amia A (Eilistraee Shrine) there are interesting things happening in each group right now.

And now back to our regularly scheduled programming....

Join the Cordor Guard.

Get to stand around and do nothing and STILL get paid for it!

I appreciate you guys trying to recruit me, or simply use this as an opportunity to get word out about your factions, but I created this post for the specific purpose of starting up a new group of players with a specific focus. I personally have very little interest for the existing factions (something that has always put me at disadvantage as a lone wolf who has had to rely on pick up groups for interaction, but something I have learned to accept and ignore) and I don't see groups of players very often that are trying to go about with their existence separate to the bigger picture (when was the last time you ran into a group of 3 or so bandits that took the risk to take your money?). I can in no way live up to the players of the Kafka brothers (most of you should remember them), but it's that kind of group gameplay that I am looking for.

My offer remains open.

Its ideas like this that feed my morbid altitis. :D

I would have happily gone with the idea, had I not already been pushing projects of my own. *Sigh* There's so many people I want to roleplay with.

My one suggestion is that even if you can only find maybe.. one other who would be willing to try this with you, is to find ways to involve the characters individually, and the cultists as a group, in the various groups. Get them some leverage in Tarkuul, get them some face time with some Underdark folks. That way, whenever you see a large number of a certain population log on, you can always find Rp.

It's not exactly a recruited member, but hopefully you take the suggestion to heart. I know these kind of ideas can pick up some neat sway and start some neat conflicts as soon as you get them involved.

I appreciate that Hackum's, and I would openly seek to "use" anyone I could to fuel my efforts as a cultist, its the ideal way to be involved with factions without joining them. I'm in no way saying I wouldn't want to interact with faction players, I just don't find their boundaries appealing. Sway an Conflict are definitely what I am trying to achieve, with a touch of chaos.
