Why must everything be requested nowadays? It was so much easier before, Now i need to spend an hour coming up with some request and wait a week to get it processed. Job log changes Head changes SKin changes name change I feel that amia is becoming rather totalitarian. Am i the only one? |

You don't need to request heads unless they are like the special monster heads. The rest you always needed a request for. I don't see the point of this topic. |

How can you not? And no. You have not always been forced to do a request over the most minuscule detail, this is something that has, apparently, have happened the last few months. I am saying that Amia is becoming very strictly controlled ... And i am not sure i like it. This is me, Voicing my concerns. |

No you always needed a Request to change names, Specifically First name Job Log always needed Requests save for the early days it was added and an NPC would do it for you. Those days are long gone. Skin changes are always request only. For both skin tones and for entirely new skins. Tell me exactly what is different? Rebuilds yes are much more strict because people took advantage of them so they are now on a stricter approval. |

I'd honestly prefer more things to be given on a request-basis as opposed to less. The protocol helps ensure people treat their character's choices with the due gravity. |

I can only assume you're exaggerating your points as much as the topic title ("Totalitarian authority"? Really?) because head changes and name changes do not require a request, as Mahtan said. Skin changes have always been request only. Job log changes have been request only for nearly two years, I think? It's not a new thing. |

Okay... I'll try to break this down for you as simply as I can since I was the one that told you to make a request for your job log reset which has apparently gotten you butthurt enough to make this thread. Job Log - When the job system was first created, resets were free because it was a whole new system and people needed time to adjust to it. As time passed, people began to abuse this privileged and poof... request. Head Changes - Don't need a request unless they are for a monstrous head, much like Mahtan said. Skin Changes - As far as I know these have been request-only for some time now. Longer than I've been a DM, at the very least. A skin change normally requires DC's and pretty much anything that requires DC's requires a request. Name Changes - Mahtan already covered this pretty well, but I'll add that we will happily temporarily change a character's name for metagaming's sake when they are performing an assassination. I'm also going to lock this as it's a dreadfully loaded topic that really isn't going to accomplish anything. |

Um. You other DMs are in denial. Of course I force people to make requests! Usually in the spirit crushing format of, "Hey, is there a DM available to change my name/ head?" |
