Hello all, I just joined Amia earlier today and logged in for about an hour. Did a couple quests and what not. Went to work and come home to hop back in but.... it tells me that my cd key is already in use O.o! This is a cd key that came with the disc.. how can it be in use? Is there something I should have done on account/character creation that I didn't? Please help. I would really really love to play :(

That's usually just a bug that pops up occasionally. It should go away on its own. It's happened to me before! Not sure what causes it.

:o For once I don't have an answer to give you. It was probably a server error or something else, as the chance of there being a duplicate key of one you got from a box is kinda' minute. Don't hesitate to try and try again to login, is my best advice. :D

If you don't feel like waiting, you might be able to hurry it up by restarting your computer and/or router/modem.

This problem is occuring again :( Don't know what the issue is as I've been playing for the past two weeks or so without any problems then all of a sudden the past two days I can't get into the main server. Only abroad. The CD Key thing is popping up when I know there is little to no possibility that this is the case as mine is store bought, not generated. I have restarted comp, router, and modem all to no avail. Any ideas?

It is theoretically possible (almost to the point of impossible) that a someone else could have bought NWN on a online store and got a generated key the same as yours

Heya and welcome to the rabbit hole. I took a look at your keys. Looks like you have two of them stored on the account (assuming MyOwnDestiny is also your login). One looks to be a semi-unique key, attached to your account and one other. The other looks to be a keygen key with 20+ different accounts attached to it. I'd wager that's the root of your problem. If you bought NWN from GOG, I'd contact them and see if you can't get a different key sent to you.

Yeah I have no idea what GoG is so no point in trying to contact them. I got my cd key from an actual game bought online through amazon.com. I don't know how I have two cd keys associated with this account as this is the only computer I have installed this game on and the only computer I have used to login to Amia with. I only have one character, one account, both IG and on forums. Though it looks like I will be making a character for Amia: Abroad since I can't get onto the Island.

*le sigh* Guess I will have to wait for it to go away again or purchase a new game. Thanks for looking into it and sorry for the trouble.

Ok so.. after finding out what GOG was... I went there and paid for the game to download (even though I already have a disc), so I could get a CD Key. As mentioned, the one that is initially configured into the download is not usable for multiplayer. So... sent in the special request form and got my new 'unique' CD Key. Unfortunately, it is not allowing me to login to Amia. It allows me to login to other servers so I'm thinking that someone had this CD Key before and had gotten banned/booted whatever.. If someone on staff could PM so I can provide you with the CD Key sent to me from GOG, so that it can be checked against banned CD Keys, I would really appreciate it. If anyone else has any other clues as to what might be going on, that would also be appreciated. I already paid for the damned thing twice and still can't play. I can only get in on occassion when I use a torrent CD Key and it just so happens to not already be in use *le sigh* Thanks guys.

You just need your new key authorised. Make a new character (so you can log in) and ask a DM online to do it for you.
