An issue arose the other day the really drove me bonkers. If you've seen the show Bonkers, I was like that. I will explain entirely:
Two days ago me (my Wood Elf character) and another guy (a Human character I think) were walking around in the troll cave, and this guys walks up from the opposite way, and immediately I (my Elf) think Drow, Underdark entrance, blah blah. My Elf confronts him, he says very little, the Drow uses darkness and logs out.
Later that night I see the Drow, wearing the same clothing and same helmet and still having the same voice I assume (it was not emoted otherwise) sitting right in Bendir where the carts are. My character watches for a second, and he takes off his helmet. My Elf walks up and confronts him again. The Drow's bio did not say anything about holy symbols of Eilistraee, or symbols of peace. My character even says something about it, and he says nothing. I want to include there were eleven players I know of sitting in earshot of this. Next the Drow walks real close and threatens to kill my Elf, right there in front of everyone. This is where I get
insane with anger. Nobody did a thing. My Elf drew a weapon when the Drow got close and threatened, and all that happened was asking me to put it away by another character watching. And to add, there were two Human characters defending him the entire time, and insulting my character. Which would be fine were they not defending what is very obviously an evil Drow. Nothing ended up happening. The evil Drow was free to sit and threaten and insult right there in Bendir Dale, and nobody did anything.
I was thinking evil Drow weren't liked, and everyone hated and feared them. So to me, it's VERY much a breach of character on everyone's part who watched. Nobody else seems to care, however. What I want to know is, am I just wrong here? Somewhat right? All right, and just had a bad experience? Just would like some thoughts on the situation so I don't get so worked up every time I think of it.
