Hey there folks, we now have a new headpack and handpack available for download. Most importantly thanks to Euriga who pampered up two of the female elven (132 and 134) heads and designed us a completly custom made head for female human characters (143), and Naivatkal and Jes for testing these. Some of the heads are meant to be used primarily by the staff for npc creatures, but we have a good portion of new heads available for the playerbase. The download can be found ---here---. If you already downloaded this a few weeks back and just want the bug-fixed version, then download ---this--- one instead. If you play a male or female human character there is a chance that your character's head will change appearence wise for those who download it. This is because there were no available slots left. However, finding out that we have doubles and tripples for that race, I updated those. This means the same head you used is still available to you and you can ask a dm for a head change. Those are: Male Human (107 - 146 // 102 - 173 // 109 - 150 // 110 - 149 // 23 - 102) Female Human (34 - 103 - 104 - 105 // 167 - 168 - 170 // 169 - 171 // 113 - 114 // 111 - 112 // 100 - 102 // 37 - 156) Now to the fun part. There will be no more of those ugly hands and feet for the large phenotypes. This means if you want to play a broad dwarf you do not have to accept those elephantitis like hands. For the standard player characters we now have in addition to the old:
- 5 Male Gnome Heads - 13 Female and 1 Male Elf Heads - 4 Female and 1 Male Halfing Heads - 9 Female and 4 Male Human Heads - 1 Female and 1 Male Half-Orc Heads Bellow are screenies of the new pc heads along with their reference numbers. These are all heads you can use for your characters! Dwarf, Male (101)Elf, Female (136) (135) (134) (133) (132) (131) (130) (129) (128) (127) (126) (125) (124) Elf, Male (046)Gnome, Male (199) (198) (197) (196) (195) Halfling, Female (024) (023) (022) (021)Halfling, Male (046)Half-Orc, Female (154)Half-Orc, Male (156)Human, Female (170) (171) (168) (156) (114) (112) (103) (102) (105) (143 by Euriga)Human, Male (173) (149) (146) (150)

Just to clarify, if I used the human male head #107 , I can have it switched to 146 to still have the same head, and not what was the previous #146 which was just a bad looking version of 107?

The blue colored ones are the new. So if you use 107 you are good to go and nothing will have changed for you. If you used 146 your head will be a completely new one, but you can switch it to 107 for the pre-update version. |

Does this replace the link in Optional Downloads (on this page: viewtopic.php?f=20&t=55960 ) or is there a new one I'm missing? |

Yep, it was replaced. Disco updated it. Or it seems there was a hickup and it is not online yet. I will bump this topic once Disco had a chance to do it. |

Rest in peace old 173. 102 and it's blasphemous facial hair will never compare to the rugged manliness of a man that knows how to use a razor. |

102 and 23 for the human male are the same. The old 173 should likely be re-added to the pack as either of those numbers. I gather from the post that it was supposed to go to 102, but it looks like something got mixed up. |
|
| Author: | Pony [ Tue, Jun 04 2013, 6:45 AM ] |
| Post subject: | Re: Head, shoulder, knees and toes, knees and toes! |
Edit: Actually, all that was mixed up is that it should be 101-173. If you want to use 173, then just use its double 101. 102 and 23 being doubles means we can add another human male head in the future. |

173 and 101. Double checked, and it was wrongly listed as 173 and 102. So your shaved head should be still available. |

Female Elf 132 and 133... ![]()
... Are weirdly sized and have clipping issues with white spaces around the hairline and ears. While I like the styles, I don't think these are a very quality additions. |

| Post subject: | Re: Head, shoulder, knees and toes, knees and toes! |
@ NinjaClarinet I did not touch heads that did not have a double for the reason that I thought it would be a pain for those with established characters. That I did not see that the two versions had different ears and it was not caught by the testers is a shame, as that was what I intended to prevent in the first place. I do not think it is worth making everyone redownload it for an ear fix of a sole head though. @ LetumLux The clipping issues are very minor, given that you need to zoom in as close as you can on the front of the ears to see it. Given that we have about 40+ slots left for female elves and that two heads make no mentionable mb difference in the download, I do not see a big problem with these. |

Pony in my Kraut wrote: I do not think it is worth making everyone redownload it for an ear fix of a sole head though. This is where I disagree. Myself, NinjaClarinet and most likely more people than just us have had the particular head on our human characters, and they certainly wouldn't all suddenly grow pointy ears overnight. I feel there should be a fix to this, even if it is a "minor problem" in some people's opinion. |

I can see their reason for being 'miffed' though. It's now more of an elven head, for a human. Which doesn't really fit at all. |

If Hashim Hoios suddenly grew pointy ears, or some other bizarre oddity that did not belong to your character, you would be just as "egotistical" about the issue. |

I will make a 'bug fix' download that only holds that specific head to overwrite the last double. That way those who already downloaded it can get the update by just loading less than an mb. I will also have the current version updated to have it from default. This way the handful people who used this particular head can continue to do so, and those who do not want to re-download the roughly 100mb wont have to. |

Eurgiga: The two heads I mentioned could both use treatment, if that's possible. The hair is literally not even touching the head at the front on 132, though there is a hair texture beneath it on the 'scalp'. It just cups over the top of the head like an egg shell, or something. Both 132 and 133 have obvious seams around the ears and hairline at the ears, with white spaces in the gaps. 132 is also just plain too small and looks ridiculous as a result. If it can be scaled up a little bit and maybe made less narrow, it would be a huge improvement. Right now, it doesn't look elven narrow, it just looks shoddy and misshapen. I'll see if there's similar/other problems with the other heads. |

Yes, both packs. One is the headpack and the other the feet and hands pack. They both go into the override folder. Eurgiga wrote: Hey Pony, if any of them have any modeling issues I wouldn't mind cracking open NWMax and taking a look. Saw that mentioned above. I'm a little rusty but heads are fairly easy. If you can do that it would be great. It is just a little white patch near the ears, but as we are doing an update / fix for the patch anyway it is a great oppertunity to include those. |

Split seams, ugly hair extensions, it looks like someone took a default model and extruded the hair- that's about one step above "get NWMax open". Edit: Oh God. I'm going to find whoever made this and stab them with a rusty spork. |

Which ones are appearing shiny, the normal ones, or the monstrous? I think a couple of the monster ones turn shiny when you change skin colour. The one which is similar to Mephistopheles does, but that one seems rather glitchy either way. Try applying the head to the NPC you are tesing it on, and see if it appears as normal on screen within the toolset, and in the creature properties where you edit the appearance. |

When I had Kobra rip off Vannari's head to try it out, they didn't look like they matched the body in terms of proportions. 132 was worse, though. Not only was in just weirdly too small, it was uncomfortably narrow. It doesn't look like a lean, elven head, it just looks smooshed as if it was put in a vice. |
