YAY! I've been a bit disappointed with shield choices, these add a TON of variety I think. Thanks for the work on this! |

Any plans on adding Jergal's symbol to the shields? I personally do not know if Kelemvor's is there but since they share a portfolio could Jergal also be added even if the Church is considered a teeny weeny one? <3 |

These are pretty damn nice. I have a few suggestions also. I would do a variety of simple heraldic fields in a variety of colours. So for example, chevrons, quarters, stripes, halves etc, and then a few more generic heraldic devices, Dragons, Wyverns, Stags, hounds, bulls etc. I would suggest keeping them fairly generic, but with enough variety so that people could RP slight differences to their shield if they really wanted to. These would probably be on a Kite shield. On Round shields, I would suggest a few more colour combinations on quarters and a few with some Celtic type devices, such as knotwork. On a more personal note... I would also suggest a large shield (not a Tower) with the symbol of Moradin or other dwarfy symbol on it to go with the Tower Shield. I would certainly use that, but I think other large shield using dwarves would also. |

Like Phearnun stated, we're only adding deity shields for the big churches, as it's a waste of both space in the hak and time from our designers otherwise. Like, Jergal only has one to two followers in the server, so he's not really worth it. Sorry. Don't forget, there's always the cloak deity option for what's missing on a shield. |

I see the deity symbols on large shields. Will they also be available on towers? Most paladins and clerics that would want such a display would carry towers. |

There will be quite a few tower shields with deity symbols. I already made about twelve of them, but I want to redoe some texturing as they looked a bit washed out. |

Make less heraldry/scales variants and color variants [you're just making the same textures with different colours], put in deity shields that are not represented already with cloaks. If you're making Lolth, that already has a cloak, at least be fair and add a Vhaeraun or Kiaransalee shield? They don't have cloaks. |

Shield of the Eight? - One shield somehow supporting all 8 mulhorandi gods. Pantheon shields. Somehow shields that support each of the other main pantheons, elf, human, orc, etc. A city shield for the desert folks? gabey? |

I am not very familiar with the mulhorandi deity symbols and what their desert city shield could look like. If you could toss me a few pics via pm (as not to clog up this topic) that would help me to know where I could start. |

I'd like to make a case for Selvetarm, even though he might be considered a niche god. He has a sizable following among drow PCs - a good handful of devout are still around, and pretty much every drow warrior would offer some allegiance. We don't get a cloak AFAIK, unlike a lot of more popular deities ): and he's a god of war, doesn't it just seem appropriate that there's a shield with his symbol? I don't know how much of a following is required for it to be considered worth it, but with few exceptions, particularly among evil PCs, there aren't very many deities with an especially large following. You could probably count the "major" ones on your hand (Bane, Shar and Lolth are all that spring immediately to mind, for me - and you'd be an idiot to use a shield of Shar anyway!) So, please consider the Selvie! And yes, this is fantastic. Props! |

What I am especially interrested in are ideas like GreatPidgeon offered with his mulhorandi city shield. Things that can be useful to a group and we do not yet have. I am currently working on two shields for blackguards type characters; one that looks like if evil runes are breaking the surface and the other as if it were covered by weeping soars and pox. Not sure if I will be successful, but I will keep working on those two. If you guys have ideas on the line of special type shields simmilar to the dragon hide ones I would love to hear some like that too. With the deity shields it will likely depend on a few factors as previously mentioned, including "at what point will this little pony will get cranky for the Forgotten Realms having too many gods?" Oh, and as to "Winya Ravena has a sigil?", yes, it will. Jes has kindly agreed to help make fitting sigils for the cities we want to include. You will likely hear from her at some point about that. |

Just a side note that Winya Ravanna has had IC actions to have the sigil developed. Which basically is ready but has not been introduced yet to the Council or the People as some delays got in the way. I believe it was Amarice who was involved as High Captain and then the current Council and certain fashionista in Winya who presented the idea. Therefore it would be nice that the IC actions would be taken into consideration in this rather than have the sigils suddenly appear from nowhere. As before Winya Ravana as a city never has had a sigil which presented it. Edit: So in short, the sigil IC:ly is done and it was tentatively approved by each party after a certain someone descriphed it to them, however, it is pending still as they want to see it as well. |

Pony, I have thought about and consulted others. I cannot really think of a single shield type that might fit for the desert region beyond the cow-hide shield we already have unless we were to make a custom something. I've looked in a few source books and scoured the net. 8 Gods.... just doesnt fit well for a single type of display sadly. All up for custom thing. More animal hide shields yo. Anyone can get down with that sickness. |

As long as that's fine with everyone involved. |

How about some dwarven looking shields. Bearing hammers, anvils, crossed axes, dwarven runes, Celtic knots etc. Doesn't have to be religious just dorfy. Btw, Jes is Barak Runedar going to get a sigil? Would be good to have some player input to this since it is a player led faction. It'd be a bit weird just to have one appear over night without anyone's say. I'm not talking an extensive group design project but just perhaps the choice of a few symbols that would be important to the dwarves of the citadel, say an anvil or an ale mug or whatever. |

I've thought about it a bit here and there, Moradin's symbol or an anvil within a silhouette or outline of a mountain peak always crossed me as a decent sigil of Barak Runedar. Course we haven't decided on anything IC yet. >.> |
