| Post subject: | Question about spell DC and save rolls in Amia |
I was planning the build of my wizard (i would like to go full wiz, more or less) and i was wondering if there is a max bonus to DC on spell saves in Amia. I red somewhere that on vanilla NWN it is +35 or +45 (dont remember exactly). Ty in advance |

After that it hurts your build to much. |

Ty The Ability modifier im referring to governs the number of spells you can use each day; The higher the number the more spells you get to cast. Though since Amia is based on a max level of 30; There is a point upon which raising the modifier (Which governs your DC roll) isn't worth it. This, On amia, happens around modifier 14/15 (Aka when you have 38 / 40 INT Buffed) This is due to the social norms by PC's to have a fortitude save around 38-39 even 40 and monsters being designed in the same fashion. (Though i do not understand why monsters need to have 40 fortitude, making caster one-hit spells and effects superfluous) There also comes a line when there's simply better things to consider then three-four Great Intelligence feats. Moshingchris could potentially provide a better answer on the Monster saves as he previously was the balancing guru of Amia. |

Ty for the quick and clear answer. So, just to be "basic-user friendly" what is the INT basic (unbuffed) score i should aim at lvl 30? I have not a clear idea of item bonuses available in game |

That's 26 Unbuffed + 12 Buffed = 38 = 14 Modifier. Or 28 Unbuffed + 12 Buffed = 40 = 15 Modifier |
