Normally, we don't turn player bans into public affairs in order to respect the privacy of the individuals involved. However, a more recent case has developed in which we could use the help of our players.

We have recently been dealing with a player who has been preying on other players, conducting aggressive sexual-harassment roleplay inappropriate for our server (And really, for most anywhere!). We then discovered that this player was in fact an account that was circumventing two original permabans. The reason we are bringing this matter to your attention, is because the player has professed a will and means to return. We will be looking to catch the player through our own systems, but in the possibility that he temporarily slips through, we want to equip our players with the knowledge to protect themselves.

If you witness an unrecognized player playing mainly monstrous races with a habit for RP of forced sexual advances between monstrous/monstrous or monstrous humanoid while trying to gain or force attention for their characters in a creepy way usually with sexual innuendo, please report it to a member of the staff immediately.

I know many people feel uneasy making reports about being uncomfortable in certain situations, especially with new players. Please do so though, we are aware of the situation and no one will feel you are overreacting (After all, we wouldn't be making this message if we didn't feel a sense of severity!). To really emphasize this point, we're not looking to hunt down new players or to get happy with a ban trigger finger. All we are seeking to do is to protect our playerbase and the safe environment we have cultivated, which means that we are more than happy to exhaust every alternative to heavy measures. In reporting suspicious behavior, please don't be concerned that it will be sufficient for immediate banning. We always do our own investigations and come to a careful conclusion.

The player so far was known under:

MySovereign (the original account they were banned under)
Flameborn (the account they skirted this ban with)

We try to keep a safe environment for our players, and we absolutely do not tolerate sexual harassment in any form-- that includes RP. Remember that under no circumstances are you expected to tolerate rape or sexual abuse IC. If it's occurring (Usually, this player targeted others while they were alone), please let us know so we can come to your aid.

I locked this thread, as it is less of a discussion and more of a public notice. If anyone has any concerns, my inbox is absolutely open for them.

I know this may feel personally concerning, as the player mentioned was reasonably close to a number of other players. And I'm at least thankful that most of these people have not been subject to the predatory harassment to have earned such a negative opinion. We wouldn't be doing this if we didn't mean it, and we hold our players in very high regards in matters of personal safety.
