Asked on GQ topic but think this is more specific and would need Dm's to chime in. Can you Rp EG's as having the ability to speak to the earth and have trackless step as is said race has in FR's Wiki?

Trackless step is a class ability, so no.

The source for this in the Fr wiki is a 4e novel so I'm going to say no to this in general.

Earthsoul genasi were able to harness the power of the earth. They had darkvision and were able to pass over the ground without a trace.[2] They said that the earth would speak to them and that they were able to talk back to it.[4]

Sounds more like a racial benefit than class boon to me. *Shrugs* As the Dm Gods will i shall abide.

According to Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting 3ed Earth Genasi receive the druid spell pass without trace, usuable once per day as a racial ability. However, on Amia Earth Genasi receive stoneskin as a racial ability, I always assumed this replaces it as the other spell is not a NWN spell.

There's nothing mentioned about Earth Genasi having the ability to speak with Earth. You could always RP yours knowing Terran, the language of earth elementals, as one of your bonus languages. They don't actually receive it automatically but it can be chosen if you have bonus points to Int. It still won't let you communicate with rocks though, but earth elementals at least.

That's correct, on both counts.

Earthsoul Genasi is a 4e concept.
