Many established factions have donation chests to receive money and goods for building projects. Most temples have donation plates for the faithful to give coin, but as far as I know contributions to the latter are not tracked or otherwise retained. Is it possible to have donations made to temples tracked? DMs could assess the current RP situation and faction leaders to judge if any money previously donated can be made available to repair/renovation projects or faction-related expenses. It just seems like it would be easier to add a script to anything called 'donations' (or whatever identifies the donation plates) than to install individual chests upon request.

Basically, I've been told of people donating hundreds of thousands of gold to the idols in the Temple of Love, and I'm sure it happens to others as well. I don't see why some portion of those funds shouldn't be accessible to related projects upon DM approval. I can see adding some sort of function that subtracts a fixed gold piece value each day based on the size of the premises for 'maintenance', so significant contributions might need to be made within a certain time span in order to build up a sizeable fund, but these are details.

I've also suggested in the past that all deities keep a running total of donations such that the top couple of gods at any given time bestow some small boon on their followers while in top spot (e.g. +1 save vs something appropriate). If there were any interest in implemeting something like this, it could more easily be done if donations were tracked.
