Regardless of what the tool says, it's 1 DC per level until 20, then it's 2 per level to 30. It's been updated but I don't think the text has.

For a pro strat, the moment you hit level 20, eat a singular dc to hit 21.

Though now a days I generally just eat 1 at 20 and then 4 at the tail end. Once fire giants are down to unacceptable xp it's time to make like a dream larva and consume some dreams.

you use your green dc wand on yourself. it's one of the options.

BUT make sure you eat the coins, actually level up, save your character, THEN eat the coins for the next level.

I prefer waiting until I'm like 100ish XP to 21, then eating it so you skip 21 and go to 22.
